Hindustan Beach Retreat

Location is great. All rooms have sea view. Interesting to watch the rituals on the beach. Pool was amazing and pool attendant very helpful. Good hotel for children. Breakfast was a welcome addition. The hotel is tired and there are pigeons on the building (owing to its design) but the hotel is certainly clean inside. The staff generally were very helpful and with three kids we found this useful. This hotel is not luxury but it is clean, comfortable and child friendly - in my opinion. In line with what you pay. Would recommend given the explaination above.

Stayed with family at this hotel by Papanasam Beach. Room was great, spacious enough for 3, beautiful view of the beach and Arabian Sea. Location can't be beat, 100 meters from the beach; its a 5 min auto ride from hotel to the North Cliff, where there are numerous restaurants and shops. The restaurant in the hotel is modest, but we had very good breakfast -- included -- every morning. To sum up: A perfect base for a lovely Varkala Beach vacation.

Good value for money and very close to the waterside. Large rooms and a very nice view from our room (and the top floor where they serve breakfast and dinner). Pleasant pool both for adults and children. The first day the cleanliness was medium, but the second night it was very good. You will notice that the facilities are not brand new but on the other side the staff is friendly and very helpful.

Stayed in this Hotel two nights 17th Nov 2011. The hotel is only 6 years old. The staff is very freindly, The room was more a kind of a suite, very spacious and at night it was bsolutely quiet. Some construction was going on next door which I did not notice not beeing in the hotel during the day. The pool area was extremely clean. The Jaccuzzi like little round pool turned out to be the pool for the toddlers which was the only tiny deception for me. Very nice Restaurant on top with excellent food. Although the price is in the upper segment of the hotels I usually stay, I think the value we get is very fair. Just a few steps away from the beach, excellent location.
