The staff was amazing. They went out of their way for my young family. Highly recommended

We stayed at this hotel twice - at the beginning and end of our 4 day tour - so 3 nights in all. We loved the hotel. The location was great - 15 mins walk to the centre, 10 mins walk to the sea and 5 mins walk to the bus station with great pizzas. The staff were very welcoming and helped with recommendations for meals & northern lights! Best of all was our room. We had booked a family room and it was huge! Spacious and comfortable even with an extra bed. The breakfast was excellent (Iceland prices mind you!) and the bar downstairs was a really buzzy and friendly place to be. Would definitely stay here again.

3 out of 5 stars

This was, overall, a good place for our family of 4 to stay for two nights. Two things, however, made this feel less than excellent: on our last night (a Saturday night) there was a party being hosted a couple floors down from us in the restaurant. This included booming music, techno beats, and loud bass that we could hear several floors up in our room making it difficult to sleep. The other issue, which is likely to be expected in such a large hotel, was the breakfast situation with super long lines to get into the breakfast area due to tour groups having just arrived and being deposited directly into the breakfast line.

Very large open space in the family suite, condition seemed a bit shabby and dated - had a damp smell

Stayed there 2 nights with my family. Location is good, within walking distance to restaurants and some sights. The hotel is comfortable and clean. The bars and restaurants gets quite crowded in the evening. Grayline bus to the airport stops right outside the hotel hence making it convenient for us to make our way to the airport.

3 out of 5 stars

The hotel is very good, although the 3rd bed in the family room was very uncomfortable camping style bed which I was not excepting in a 4* especially that I paid for a family room, therefore the 3rd bed wasn't an addition, it is part of the room set up. Unfortunately some staff are poorly trained and one of the receptionists exceptionally rude. Manager was very helpful and responsive. The food was good and the hotel is in a great area for the main stree and the harbour. The beer garden has wonderful decor and grwat food.
