Center Hotels Laugavegur

Very enjoyable stay! Very courteous staff, great continental breakfast daily, the property sits on the corner of the main shopping strip, and the pick up-drop off spot for all tour buses. The staff also calls a taxi if you need one, (there are no rideshares) and the taxi is usually there within 3 minutes. Everything you could want or need is walkable from the property. Would definitely recommend for solo, couples, or family travelers.

We had 3 rooms for 6 family members for one night, and our experiences were uniformly excellent. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was superb. The rooms were neat, clean and had everything we needed. It was great to be able to store our luggage here for several hours after checking out. The only flaw was the parking. The hotel only has about a half dozen spaces. There is a parking garage across the street; $5 for the first hour and about $.75 for each additional hour. We would definitely stay here again.

I was disappointed in the Center Hotels Laugavegur and I wouldn't stay there again. My big complaint was the room. I paid extra for a 'Deluxe' corner room with extra space. The room itself looked nothing like the picture I was told I would be reserving. There wasn't much space, and the windows looked out upon another room's balcony. Our balcony could only be accessed by walking through the shower. My biggest complaint is the lack of lights. At night, the room was so dark our extended family couldn't hang out there as we had planned. Our family members booked a standard room and their room was much nicer, brighter, and laid out better than our 'Deluxe' room. On a positive, the lobby was very nice, and the front desk staff was very pleasant. Also, the breakfast was very good each morning.
