Have always loved this hotel. And yes the pool really does look like this. What I don't love is that a 3rd person is an extra charge regardless of age. Even if a room has 2 double beds, suitable for a set of parents and a child, my child was an extra $300

I booked a junior suite with a direct harbor view on the 14th floor. The room was very cozy with good layout. I was able to work with the provided desk comfortably. Junior suite comes with the crown club lounge access, which proved to be a great value. The lounge staff were professional and super friendly. They knew my name after the first day and made me feel very welcomed. Teresa, Winky, Sharon, Morrice all showed great hospitality. I was able to put some work while I stayed in the lounge. The location is superb. Very close to the harbor attractions and the MTR station. There are many facilities provided by the hotel such as spa and swimming pool. I didn't have time to use either this time but the outdoor pool area looked so great and classic. I would highly recommend this property, especially the rooms with the club lounge access. The staff there truly made this stay a wonderful experience.

Magnificent hotel - great friendly staff. A little dated in places but very clean, well maintained and homely. Stayed in a junior suite - large room, partial bay view and very comfortable. Nono in room for tea coffee. Exec lounge a didn’t really use but basic drinks available daytime and canapés afternoon tea available . Would stay again.

My husband and I stayed here for 12 nights in a crown club room. This is a longer period of time than most travellers but I had some family things to attend to in HK. We had previously there in Nov 19 and I was happy enough to come back. This time we decided to upgrade to enjoy the convenience and benefits of the hotel breakfast and the evening drinks. The breakfast was fine, personally I found it a bit dull as the fresh fruit was always the same (2 types of melon and pineapple), and the Asian offerings really didn’t taste that great. I’ve eaten enough dim sum to know what’s good. However, it was convenient and we probably did ourselves a favour as we just had fresh fruit and a bowl of cereal. The evening drinks were the winner though. It was lovely to come back from a long day out, and instead of winding down slumped on our hotel bed, we could sit in the lounge reading our papers online while enjoying a glass of wine. The staff in the lounge were friendly, and the staff on the desk on the 12th floor were very helpful. My main criticism is their greenwashing. They have signs in the bathroom saying if you leave your towels hung up they won’t be changed, but no matter how often I did this, I came back to fresh towels. Likewise the bed linen. I eventually spoke to the lovely lady who cleaned our rooms and managed to explain I didn’t need things changed until they were left in the bath. What is the point in signs like this to reduce water wastage if they are ignored??

The Royal Garden is well located in East Tsim Tsa Tsui, moments walk away from the TST promenade, avenue of stars, the TST shopping area, Kowloon Park and the TST Star Ferry Terminal. The staff are very responsive both during the stay and before when arranging particulars. We stayed in a Junior Suite and a standard Double Room on the 6th floor. The rooms were a good size, fairly clean and as expected for a 5 star hotel. Some lights didn't work and there are signs of wear and tear visible but otherwise comfortable. Complimentary water was provided most days. I would recommend a higher floor if road noise bothers you. The heated pool with Hot Tub on the roof provided lovely views of the harbour and a nice oasis away from the bustle of the streets and the rooms. Just be aware it can get windy and feel cold outside of the hotter months! If you are thinking about food, I recommend heading out. There are plenty of eateries just outside, providing quality eats at reasonable prices. We opted for the hotel breakfast with a 1 and a 4 year old and this was the best part about the hotel. The restaurant is really well set up for children, with Stokke high chairs and toddler high chairs. The service we received was second to none, all staff were very polite and friendly and in particular a big shout out to Becky and Fai who made us and the children feel so welcome!
