Volcano View Hotel Santorini

Tina and Demetrius were amazing!! They treated us like family. Demetrius provided excellent recommendations for the area. The view was amazing!! It was so nice we stayed on our balcony all day looking at the beauty!! We will be back!!

We stayed here for a week and greatly enjoyed it. The staff went above and beyond to meet our needs, always with a big smile and positive attitude. The hotel has a fabulous view from any angle. Housekeeping was prompt and thorough, and even included freshening up the room and replacing the towels in the evening. The room (junior suite) was spacious, comfortable, very quiet; the bathroom is similarly spacious with plenty of counter space and a large shower. The only thing I missed was a wall mirror. The restaurant has a nice menu, with creative dishes. Across the street there is a mini market, and in short walking distance there is a pharmacy, a Lidl, and a bakery. Relaxing on a chaise by the pool, overlooking the Caldera, and watching the boats and cruise ships go by: priceless! The hotel is located ~2.5 km from Thira, and the hotel shuttle does come in handy. A taxi ride to/from Thira center is €15. Santo winery is in walking distance, and has nice wines and great views. The breakfast buffet was variegated, but there is place for improvement with regards to the eggs offerings as the scramble & omelettes were made with egg substitute rather than real eggs. The laundry services were prompt and reasonably priced. All in all, we had a great stay and felt well taken care of.

This hotel has the best view and personnel, everyone is very helpful and attentive. I would stay again and recommend it to family and friends.

BEWARE ! This property will let you book a junior suite , but then give you a downgraded room and hope u don’t notice. But after one night in a TINY room, I had to look at the website to see why I booked such a tiny room. Guess what! The room they gave me did not represent the photos of a junior suite on the website. No additional sitting room as advertised. I complained and they then gave me the proper room after spending one night in the cramped standard room. No compensation was offered. And during checkout, another couple was at the front desk complaining about the exact same thing ! So I know this is not a mistake. It’s common practice for this hotel. So I would go elsewhere.

The views were stupendous, and the staff very friendly. However, we were on honeymoon, and booked a junior suite, but I don't think that is what we were allocated. It was certainly nothing like the website pictures. i think we were put in a family room, which was nothing like the website. Maybe we should have queried it but didn't want hassle on our honeymoon.
