Our family with 4 adult children stayed here (in 3 rooms) for 2 days as part of our annual vacation. The Divani Palace Acropolis is in an excellent location. It’s within easy walking distance to the Acropolis Museum & the Acropolis. We had a view of the Acropolis from our balcony & it looks beautiful lit up at night. There are several good restaurants nearby, including a rooftop bar/restaurant in the hotel which also has amazing views of the Acropolis, It was a very safe neighborhood, It had a nice pool, although we didn’t get a chance to use it. The morning breakfast had a nice buffet selection. The beds were comfortable & it had good air conditioning. We had a great time & would definitely stay here again if we get back to Athens

We absolutely loved our stay. The staff was kind and hospitable. We enjoyed our free room upgrade and complimented wine on the nights we were jet lag and needed to sleep. E traveled with our one year old and Omgggg everyone LOVED HIM! From the bellman to the front desk to the waiters at breakfast… they all treated him like a king! We loved Greece for that. The breakfast was Buffett and had many good options. The roof garden with the Acropolis view was beautiful. Clean room and bathrooms with balcony with a view. Loved it! We walked to the Acropolis area daily with a stroller. No issues. Only downside no transfer to syntagma square as advertised. Taxi was 4-6 euros. So not bad!
Def recommend whether individual or family with small children.

We came here after a terrible experience as the Wyndham grand athens- they saved our vacation and we had the most wonderful stay here! Clean, safe and convenient location. Incredible staff. Will stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

The hotel is beautiful, but the air conditioning in our room did not work. When we called down to the desk to say it was not working, a technician came up and “fixed it”. He told us to walk around for a half hour to let it cool. We told him, it had already been on for the three hours we were out, and the room was not cool.
They gave us the key to another room. That a/c did not seem to be working either.
Another technician came to the room and told us something had not been turned on, but that it should be okay. Two hours later, the a/c shut off again and the room was not cool.
At 1:30 in the morning, after complaining again to the front desk, we were given a room in another part of the building and had to move all our luggage.
The woman working at the front desk on this evening was not helpful. She was very condescending, and when my son use his Google translator, he realized she was was calling him a child to the other staff members.
I would not recommend this hotel.

The place is amazing super well located! But what really made me feel home was the staff super courteous and welcoming! Took their time to help us with our tours and places to go! I totally recommend it to everyone!!! My family and I can’t wait to go back.

This hotel is located very close to the Acropoli and the Acropoli museum making walking there -three or four minutes tops- a breeze. It is located on the city side amongst apartments and offices and for me and the family not as good as staying on the Monastiraki side. It has a nice lobby, check-in staff were a little curt but the doorman/bellboy/parking guy was awesome. The facilities are more closely equated to a US motel - adequate but shabby, small. Good for the night if you plan on being out all day. Check the roll-in cot if you request one, mine had multiple missing slats so it was not useable - it was late so I did not call front desk for replacement, just squeezed onto the two singles. Buffet breakfast was good with multiple options for all. Views of the Acropoli are there but from the side when looking out of the balcony, certainly not like Monistiraki where it filled my room window. I booked it based on the hotel description - more than a bit misleading, especially when it is described as a 5star hotel. 2 or 3 maybe.

Bait and Switch
I reserved 3 executive rooms with a view of Acropolis for my family. We were put in a room in the old section of the hotel. It was nowhere near 5 star. It could not have been more than 3 stars in that section with no view of Acropolis. I am due a full or partial refund for the quality of rooms and intentional deception, that we we received. The attendant made the decision to place us in the old renovated section. I also requested an accessible room for my mother who has mobility issues, has a hard time standing on her own, and can not stand long. The attendant told me that she had given us as accessible room for her. The room was no different than the other 2. I feel strongly that this was discrimination, as we are a family of color. I was looking for a good local experience and was left disappointed. Please contact me, as this Bait and Switch has left me very disappointed with the Divani Palace Acropolis Hotel and Expedia’s ratings system.
DECEIVED!

Great hotel in a fabulous location right next to the Acropolis. The hotel itself is nice and spacious, and the top-floor restaurant has a spectacular view of the Parthenon, however, not a place for children really. The only gripe is that the pool on the ground floor was beyond cold. Freezing in fact. Definitely not a pleasurable swimming experience.

Check-in was very slow but staff were generally friendly. There was a mixup with my booking and we didn’t get the right room initially, this was all a bit frustrating because I had two kids with me but the room problem was rectified quickly. Location for The Acropolis is perfect.

This is our family's 3rd time staying at the property - it's location is perfect, allowing a very short walk to the Plaka, the Acropolis and most other activities. But is located on a quiet street so you don't feel that you are in the middle of everything. The staff are also great. The facility itself is very good. I would definitely stay there again.
