Divani Caravel

Great location: 1 metro stops from down town, 2 from the Acropolis! What I most appreciated was the quality of their service: when I was sick, they directed me to a medical centre 200m down the road. When it was diagnosed as an appendicitis, the staff were quickly able to make arrangements so that we could extend our stay, in the same family room, despite high season. When I returned from the hospital, the were all extremely helpful for the rest of our stay!

This is not a five star hotel. Rooms are very worn, old furniture, bathroom etc. lots of better options. No turndown service. We found several pills in the kids’ room, 2 on the bed (!). Manager said he couldn’t know how they got there since we didn’t report it immediately. Terrible service. Frigde, safe, tv remote didn’t work when we checked in. Took two days and four visits to the reception to get a new fridge. Pool is small, worn and over crowded. Would not recommend this to anyone

The hotel manager keeps insisting this is a 5 star hotel but our room had huge cockroaches and a plumbing flood. It took over an hour and multiple phone calls to even respond to the flood, making us lose our dinner reservations. Hotel is not in a convenient location. You need a taxi everywhere. Hotel staff also not accommodating or helpful in locating laundry service. They wanted to charge us outrageous prices to launder our children’s clothes but would not help find a reasonable alternatives short of costing a few thousand dollars to do basic laundry.

Beautiful hotel and views from the roof top! Went to this hotel with my family of 4 and had a very spacious room! Rooms were nice and clean! Service was top notch! Our package included breakfast which was delicious! The gym was the best I have seen in Greece! The pool on the roof was breathtaking and the night bar on the rooftop with views of the city light up were beautiful! Front desk also accommodated us with a late check out! Very enjoyable stay!

I was not upgraded even though I asked. Outrageous dining prices and room service options with 2 children was basically non existant

The Divani Caravel was fantastic! After a long travel day, to our surprise, each couple was upgraded at check-in to a junior suite. The suites were fabulous with lots of room and amenities! We even had a view of the Acropolis from each window! We enjoyed the rooftop bar after check-in. The food and drinks were wonderful! We were able to walk to the Olympic Park, Acropolis, and Plaka area. There were amazing restaurants right beside the hotel and a coffee shop and bakery a few blocks away. We had a perfect stay here!

When we first arrived there was only one glass, the toilet was dirty and my children’s room smelled dirty.

My family of four had a wonderful stay at the Divani Caravel. The room was large and comfortable and the staff ensured it was impeccably clean. The rooftop pool and pool bar was an oasis after our tourist activities. The concierge was very helpful in telling us about tours and arranging one for us. It's about a 25 minute walk from the tourist attractions, but the price was amazing and I would definitely stay here again. There are some nice little neighborhood restaurants nearby as well.

I booked a room for 4 people at Divani. I have stayed there multiple times, and always I have noticed issues with the rooms and their appliances but this time, it was beyond anything I had seen. Details: 1) A few minutes after we entered our room, we noticed a lot of water on the floor coming out of the AC unit. 2) When I tried to use the phone to call the reception, the phone was not working. So, I walked down to the reception and let them know about the two issues. 3) When the technician came to fix them after 1 hour, he told me that he needed to use a drill and that it would be good for us to not be there. He also verified that the phone wasn't working. So, he came back to fix the AC later. 4) In the meanwhile, when I tried to close the curtains for the kids to sleep, I noticed old trash (bottles, papers, and other plastic) left behind by the previous guests. So, I asked the reception on our way out to get that cleaned as well. The reception lady told me apologetically that they would take care of it, and that they will adjust the payment for the inconvenience. 5) When we came back, the trash was still there. 6) Next day, at checkout, the lady pretended she didn't know anything about it and when I mentioned my experience, she talked to a manager that approved a 69 euro refund, which was the cheapest of the two room charges we had made at the restaurant. Despite my persistence for the multiple issues we faced, they claimed that this is all they could do. Never again!

Great for families!! Only 25 mins to the airport. Very big rooms!
