The rooms themselves were great. I got the double family room, and it's a good size. Everything was clean and well-maintained. There was no one at reception on the day we checked in, but the instructions given to us were very clear. The restaurant downstairs serves classic Bavarian food, and they were sweet enough to allow us to take the plates up to our room to eat. There is a very small elevator that you can use to take up your luggage, but most people used the stairs otherwise. Breakfast in the morning was classic Bavarian food. Lots of semmeln, brotchen, bratwurst, weisswurst, etc. One of the best parts about this property is that it's so close to 2 metro steps. The S-Bahn stops at Konstablerwache, and then it's 2.5 blocks to the hotel. The U-Bahn stops even closer, but it was closed for upgrades at the time of our trip. Once we were ready to fly out, it's a quick S-Bahn trip on the S8 or S9 from Konstablerwache to the airport. So easy. This place has radiated heating and no air conditioning, but in the beginning of August, the temps were 60-65 degrees outside. It was open-window season and the weather was perfect. If your window was open during the day, it's possible to hear the restaurant chatter down below, but no issues when the windows were closed. You can also hear the Dom church bells on the hour. Overall it's a fabulous stay. I found every employee I encountered to be friendly and helpful.

The luxury of a five star hotel meets the personal touch of an AirBnB; modern amenities with old world charm. Hands down one of the most spectacular places I’ve ever stayed at! (Note: this is a shortened review. I keep getting a “violation” notice from Expedia, and they have yet to respond to my queries as to why, so please see my full review on Trip Advisor for more details on my experience) This centrally located suite is actually at the top of a midevil tower! With an included breakfast and daily housekeeping, and boasting incredible views, sophisticated decor, playful touches of sweets, locally and ethically sourced amenities throughout (soaps, wines), a welcome basket with a reusable bag and letter, flat screen smart TV, air conditioning, a stocked mini-fridge, and slippers and robes…..this place was top notch. No detail forgotten. The hosts are brothers and sommeliers and they are amazing! Anything we needed, any question we had, they were prompt, helpful, and patient. I looked forward to seeing them around. They even went as far to help with my laundry and mail some post cards home to my kids. As other reviews mentioned, there are a few flights of stairs. If you have any special accessibility needs, I’d suggest contacting the property to learn more. Even with, I wouldn’t hesitate recommending this place - it was a dream come true - far exceeding my wildest expectations. I truly hope to visit again one day and stay again in the Giglio Rossi suite.

A small hotel in a very nice location right beside the cathedral and within walking distance of the old city. The family suite comfortably accommodated our family of 3. There was a variety of breakfast options with attentive table service. The desk staff were very helpful with luggage storage and arranging a taxi.
