Gold Palais Hotel

Great location 100m to M4 tram stop, only a few stops from Alexanderplatz in one direction and Greifswalder Straße S-Bahn in the other. A short walk to the restaurants in Prenzlauer berg. Friendly staff that was available 24/7, clean and comfortable room, excellent breakfast (although at additional cost). Our train left late in the evening the day we checked out, but we could leave our bags in the luggage room and were welcome to hang out in the lobby after a full day of exploring Berlin, before leaving for the train. Would very much recommend this hotel! Only minor thing was that the family room was not made for a family when we arrived, but the friendly staff came up with additional bed linen and made the bed sofa for us.

Conveniently located, everything clean and in great shape. We had a spacious family room to the backyard which was surprisingly quite given the location. The staff was a bit inexperienced, but we only wanted a place to sleep so that was not a problem.
