Hotel an der Oper

We loved this hotel! This was a family trip over Thanksgiving so we could enjoy Munich and the wonderful Christmas markets. The location can’t be beat - such a walkable area and you are a quick 10 minute walk to Marienplatz and the train station. Five minute walk to the Opera House, Hard Rock Cafe, restaurants, high end shopping and the famous Hofbrauhaus. The rooms were nice sized and we had a kitchenette that was ideal for storing beverages, snacks and making light meals. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We would definitely stay in this hotel again. Clean, good value and an ideal location. Such a great combination!

The rooms we stayed in were very dated, but we could see that refurbishments were going on in other rooms, so maybe that will change soon. We stayed in a junior suite, which was very spacious. Bathroom was large but only a shower available. Safe in wardrobe was also broken. We were a bit disappointed as we do like to stay in nice hotels and thought the 4* rating didn’t quite match up. Location was great though and staff were friendly and helpful.
