Hotel Victoria

Terrific, clean family sized rooms and accommodating staff! Terrific location close to train and walking.

Most helpful staff of our entire England-Germany trip. The air conditioned family room was a godsend.

Hotel Victoria was great. That check-in staff was great. The breakfast staff was exceptional. The check-out staff was very friendly and kind. The rooms were very clean and whoever came up with the idea of putting the toilet in a separate room from the shower and vanity sinks should be given a award. We loved that. We had a great view from our window but there was nothing blocking the windows when open. Being on the 4th floor as a parent, that’s a little frightening. My kiddos stayed away from it though and only looked out when we were with them. The housekeeping staff were always very pleasant when passing in the hall and they do a great job cleaning the rooms. The beds were very comfy and the shower was incredible. The best part of breakfast was the staff and the coffee. While the food was good, we found the selection a bit limited. It was kind of your typical German breakfast. You can request scrambled or fried eggs though, so that’s nice. Parking is tricky and we had to carry our luggage several hundred yards from a parking garage just down from the hotel, but it really wasn’t too bad. I’m just glad they had a parking garage pretty close considering the location. There’s a couple of great restaurants just outside the hotel. It’s really is a pretty neat hotel with a lot of interesting history.
