Saint Gothard Nice

My special request for a room away from a lift was totally ignored and I was given a room right beside it. The lift was dreadfully noisy and being in the centre of the building it probably managed to disturb guests in several rooms. I was unlucky enough to have a screaming child one side of me and a couple who chatted loudly and slammed cupboards at 2am on the other! , this I could hear clearly through earplugs- the walls are like tissue paper! The wifi was very slow and unreliable due to frequent disconnections and took a long time to restore. The bathroom had an adequate shower cubicle but a ridiculously small wash basin that was hard to access as a bulky cabinet hung low over it. Being 6ft I found it easier to kneel on the floor when using it. The fixed plug was hard to fathom when trying to fill the bowl as it wouldn't create a seal. Toiletries were not replaced every day. As for the plus points, a comfortable bed, easy to use safe and fridge available. The multi channel TV had one channel in English. Reception staff were unwelcoming and unaccommodating, this has much changed since my first stay here around fifteen years ago.

My family and I had a lovely four night stay at Saint Gothard Nice. It was situated well for the shops and the public transport. Excellent value for money and would definitely stay again.

This hotel was good, close to everything like beach and shopping. The room size was ok and bathroom you have to step into the shower which could be a problem for older people. We have been traveling France and this was the smallest room so far but still accommodated a family of 4( 2 adults and 2 adult teens). The staff was amazing. You will have to find a parking garage or get up and move your car every morning (Parking garage was a seven minute walk not a big deal but is costly a day), if you rode the train even better. A lot of eating options around you. And let me mention again the shopping was amazing.
