Toyoko Inn Marseille Saint Charles

The room itself was problematic in that there wasn’t anywhere to put your luggage or clothes. The room was very sparsely furnished. There were no bedside tables, or lighting by the bed. No closet, no luggage rack. All that was in the room was a bed and a desk with one chair. When I inquired about a luggage rack - because I didn’t want to keep my luggage and clothes on the floor they didn’t have one! They said the room was designed to put one’s luggage under the bed. Are you kidding! So, I am supposed to pull my luggage out from under the bed everyday? Because the four hangers in the room aren’t enough for two peoples clothes! Never mind the dust, hair, and bedbug possibility- feels very unsanitary and laborious to say the least. What a ridiculous design. Overall the hotel lobby and breakfast area, hallways etc were nice- 3 star. But the rooms in there absolute sparseness and lack of functionality was a 1 star.
