Many hotels are good or even excellent without that special something, This family run hotel is in a charming location at the lake with the mountains close behind, the grounds are well kept, the rooms are very comfortable, the staff were truly exceptional, friendly and competent, the food quality was excellent, there is a comfy bar area with sofas and armchairs. I have placed this hotel on my personal list of truly special places and the prices are better than fair. An exceptional place.

Hôtel Les Grillons was amazing! This laid back and family run hotel feels like a resort with a relaxing common area to gather for drinks before the amazing nightly dinner (inclusive)! The dinner is fantastic and Sebastian prepares a local based four course meal. Tres bon! The hotel is near Lake Annecy and a lovely 20 minute drive around the water to the old town. When you are there, check out Talloires as there are beautiful views and neat hikes. We would stay here again. It was wonderful!
