TRYP by Wyndham Guayaquil

The best part of the hotel was the proximity to the airport (five minutes away) and a nice mall (accessible by hotel elevator) with lots of good shops and restaurants. The hotel breakfast buffet was also great and worth getting as a part of the room rate. The buffet had great options and the food was fresh and tasty. The hotel lobby is lovely but then you go up to your room and realize the hotel is in need of renovation. The room we were in had a terrible musty smell and the bathroom shower walls were moldy. Gross. I should’ve requested a room change but we were only staying for one night and I let it go. I thought once I turned the ac on that the smell was dissipate but I was wrong. The pool is tiny but enough for my kids to splash around for an hour. I won’t stay at this hotel again unless they undergo a renovation. There’s a Sheraton across the street so I would likely try that and hope it’s better than the Sonesta.

I loved the location...easy to get from the airport and to my family.I can walk to the mall.
