Hotel Casa Coco

We have been staying at this property for years. After the first owner passed away, things have changed. They upgraded the rooms, which is nice, but the beds are still hard as a rock and hurt your back. The rooms need to have a deep clean every so often…there are dead bugs and animals in the lights. The Wi-Fi barely works and constantly kicks you off. We ordered breakfast in the morning and the bacon came out raw. We asked them to recook it. The eggs and potatoes were good, but the sausage was weird. The bread was good. The cleaning staff is nice and the security guard helpful, but we had a issue with the owner over the payment. Expedia said it was $130 for our stay, but my husband paid more than that. When we asked the owner about it he got defensive and said his employee wouldn't do that. I asked for a receipt, but he didn’t have one. Then the employee who took the money came to us later that day to explain. He showed my husband a bill he had never seen and told us not to write a bad review. The pool was dirty when we arrived. I had to clean out the filter and skim it because of the bees in it. It’s not a family friendly place, it’s more appropriate for single older men. We will not stay there again. With the price rising, you can find an Airbnb in the area.
