Iron Gate Hotel and Suites

Excellently located for all the major sites right in the old town. Easy to find. We were warmly greeted and treated like special guests in a glamorous reception. We booked a junior suite and this was accessed through a small courtyard. The room was beautiful in the traditional style of Prague. Huge bed, big room, beautiful bathroom. Only downside was no English language channels on TV but did have access to online apps which negated this. The room was warm, clean and extra comfortable. The minibar was reasonably priced. We ate breakfast at the restaurant where we had access to a buffet with a fantastic selection of hot and cold options. One coffee machine was always busy and this created queues. We had dinner at the restaurant where we had excellent food, served by an attentive host although the other waiters had an air of indifference. Price wise very good for such quality and surroundings. Checkout was simple and friendly.Alex us want to stay longer.

We had an amazing stay. Hotel felt like old world luxury. Room was massive and well equipped. Staff were lovely and friendly. But one of the main features of this hotel is its location which is very central to all the main tourist spots. Lots of local bars and restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family visit the beautiful city of Prague

The suites and restaurant are outstanding but many of the staff were just miserable. Our family was there for Christmas and seeing people like that did not make our interactions pleasant. Also when we arrived we were informed that the people before us had trashed the room and that there was no way it could be cleaned on time for us to have it. We were put into a different cheaper room for the first night and given a voucher for the restaurant. We had to go back several times for the voucher, we’re then told it had to be used that day even though the restaurant was booked out. Then we had to negotiate for it to be used for drinks. As I said the hotel is beautiful, suites are lovely and the food at the restaurant top quality but the staff being difficult and unhappy impacted our stay.

The junior suite is a large beautiful room. There is a sofa for seating. The furniture all looks like antiques and the bed was king size. The bathroom was nice and spacious also with a table to put our things. Unfortunately the shower head is too low and should be raised higher on the wall. Tje bed was comfortable but could use extra pillows. The breakfast had a good variety of foods but it was awkward going through the kitchen and down steps; instead the door to the outside patio should be left open.

This is a really nice suprice. It ticks all of the boxes of being a top hotel.. almost.. There is no air-conditioning in the room. We had a juniorsuit with all the comforts except air-conditioning. 35 degrees outside and only a small fan to cool the night. Not enough. But rest is A1 not to mention the excellent restaurant.

Our room was spacious and ornately decorated. My kids loved the ‘princess bed’ in the main bedroom. Large king beds with two bathrooms with a friendly and helpful staff. Great stay!
