Hotel U Prince

This was our favorite hotel of our 8 day European trip. The location can not be beat. The hotel itself is so beautiful and historic. The rooms my family had were huge and had so much character. The staff was friendly, the breakfast yummy, the restaurant was good and the bars are top rated for character and views! Highly recommend!

Always a special time staying at the U Prince and with it’s wonderful staff. I cant wait to take my family back. Thanks always for life long positive memories.

I had a really unfortunate experience upon checking in. I had booked a Junior Suite and was indeed offered one upon arrival, but IT HAD NO WINDOWS! The air their was stale and just impossible to breath (airconditioning didn't work in the entire hotel). I came back to the reception desk right away and asked them to move me to another room, but they told me that they didn't have any other rooms - at all - that night but they could move me to another room tomorrow. I decided to lose the payment for one night and to look for another hotel right away. Only then they told me that they might have another room for tonight. It was a very small room (with windows though) on the top floor, and the windows were right against the entrance to their terrace bar. So, I had a choice between a windowsless junior room and a very noisy small room with windows that was facing a restraurant that ended up being busy until very late at night. I choce the small room I needed to breath. They did move me to a normal Junior Suite the folowing day, though the difference in price for the first night was never offered since I booked via Expedia and not directly. The second night was great as the room had very tall windows and lots of air. I didn't care about other things much, as you can tell. Their breakfast room was very small and food was pretty ordinary, but it was OK with me. So, when booking, make sure that you room will have windows! Though it wasn't indicated in any way in the booking system.
