Hotel Croatia

We didn't get offered a room upgrade as Expedia VIP status, which was expected. The hotel was good, but not as good as previous visits. We tried to watch the music in the bar area, but this was spoiled by small children running around unsupervised. The hotel management should have stopped this, as it ruined the evening.

Fantastic hotel in a beautiful, picturesque location, perfect for families and couples. Locals are lovely and the staff and facilities in the hotel are immaculate. I would thoroughly recommend this for a short break.

We had a communication problem with the reservation dept. and did not get our extra day added to our vacation as planned. When we arrived, the hotel manager was extremely helpful and resolved our problem promptly. The restaurant options were excellent and the included breakfast had much variety and a # of healthy options. The views and grounds of the hotels are simply fantastic. From help with luggage, taxis and directions the staff were courteous and knowledgable. We will definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends/family that will be traveling to Croatia!

Located 7 minutes from the airport, this family-oriented property sits on the most beautiful stretch of beach. Every morning you wake up to the waves crashing from the most comfortable bed! The view from the balcony is sublime and there is a 10 minute walk to the promenade which offers boat tours, snorkeling, tours to Dubrovnik Old Town, wine tours and so much more. Ivo the concierge was extremely good with his recommendations! The breakfast in the morning was a feast and there is wonderful entertainment in the evening in case you want to spend a night close to home. All in all highly recommend. This is definitely a quiet luxury hotel though - not designed if you are looking for a party!

Our stay at the Hotel Croatia was lovely. The rooms are spacious, private view across the sea (this was extra but well worthwhile) and the facilities were very good. We had light live music in the Bar each evening which was very pleasant. Take the water taxi from the harbour for a cheaper option (10 euros each)to get to Old Dubrovnik (the hotel taxi service was 60 euros). We used Uber to get to the airport and that was cheaper too. Car hire in Cavtat was half the price in the hotel. We loved the food at the hotel and thought it was worth its five stars. It was my husbands 60th birthday and they organised a cake (free) to go with the bottle of Prosecco the family organised, a nice touch. We would definitely stay there again. Cavtat was a pretty unspoilt Croatian town also nice to explore. What a beautiful place it was to visit.

My only wish was that there was self service laundry services on-site. I’ve also heard a couple of British families with children say the same thing at the pool. Otherwise, it was perfect.

Kind staff and responsive staff, lovely food, just as lovely as when I used to stay at the hotel as a child.

Very large hotel, veey small rooms; qe had to remove half of the rooms furniture ti dit the extra bed foe the kid. Elevators are not enough

it was a great experience staying at Hotel Croatia at Cavtat. Friendly staff, great sea view and lots of space to move around. Excellent for families.

The hotel is good for family vacation, well facilities, good location. But we were told we will be upgraded, guaranteed late checkout and sea view when we made booking on hotel.com as we are golden member, unfortunately the room is facing the sea but the view is blocked by the trees, no upgrade due to hotel overbooked, and hardly get a late checkout until we complained for twice, I’m a bit feel it’s a oversell of what it is described.
