Olas Verdes Hotel

Our family of three stayed for four nights in the family suite bedroom with double bed and twin bed and separate living room space. Quarters were clean and roomy, AC unit was quiet and effective but only for the bedroom portion. The living room space didn’t have AC but in June wasn’t really necessary and with open windows and a fan it was enough. The noise from the bar and pool were loud from our living room space but the bedroom was very quiet. We had a big red ant problem on arrival, after squashing 50 of them I messaged the hotel for help and they sent someone around to spay and they did more treatments the next day while we were out. The hotel is a three minute walk to the beach through a damp cut jungle path and if you don’t move fast the mosquitoes will find you. The pool was nice and the convenience of surf lessons, board, and boogie board rentals were good. If you’re lucky you’ll get to observe capuchin monkeys play from your window and definitely get to listen to the howler monkeys often. The breakfasts and restaurant were just ok and a bit slow. I’d recommend walking over to Al Chilie for much better food as often as possible. The hotel staff tries extra hard to be congenial and provide the best customer service. This hotel is not within close walking distance to any town setting but the beach is right there and so beautiful.

The service was all around perfect with all our family needs taken care of to give us time for fun. Car rental return, excursions with third parties, airport transfer, included laundry. Great job giving us a slice of pura vida Olas Verdes

Beach/surf access was excellent. Great beach for beginner and intermediate surfers. Restaurant and bar were good. Staff very friendly. Room was just what we needed. Only drawback is that the bedroom only has AC. If you have a kid on the pullout couch, they may be uncomfortable sleeping without AC. Oh, and breakfast is included, and it's a real full breakfast too. That's a money saver for a family of four. Overall I loved this place and am definitely planning on coming back.

This property exceeded every expectation. Beautiful and tranquil. Super clean and well maintained. The staff was so attentive and friendly. The jungle and beach are a wonderful adventure and perfect for either couples or families. We especially enjoyed the family of monkeys and the many hummingbirds. We look forward to staying here again.
