Blue River Resort & Hot Springs

We’re a family of 5 and shared one of their rustic cabins. We love the lush foliage,flora & fauna. Unique rainforest experience, surrounded by fragrant flowers,beautiful gardens, sustainable environment. Great staff,friendly people.

What a marvelous location for both the adults and the children. We loved our room, the service in the restaurant and the excursions. I would highly recommend this experience.

This place is simply amazing! Loved staying here. So peaceful and beautiful. The birds woke me up at 5am but i didn't mind lol The staff are great. So friendly and they went above and beyond to make our stay more enjoyable.they made us feel special. I can't wait to go back and take my whole family.

We enjoyed our stay at Blue River immensely! The property was very well manicured, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms very roomy, clean and comfortable. Food was excellent, hot springs very relaxing, and property was beautiful. Our hike to the waterfall was amazing. Our guide, Kevin was excellent and very knowledgeable and patient. I would highly recommend this property for families, couples or singles.

We (family of three, i.e. a couple and a 12 y.o. daughter) stayed there for 2 nights at the beginning of our vacation in CR, upon arrival at LIR (Liberia) airport. The resort is about 70 km from the airport. Keep in mind, the last 20 km is an unpaved road ... which was not a big deal for us (just need to drive slower). We rented a 4WD car. But we were there in mid-April, still in the "dry" season and a 4WD vehicle wasn't really required. The resort is very new, maybe 2-3 years old. The villas are really spacious (~ 700 sq feet) with big beds, AC and huge shower room. There are hot strings on-site which we enjoyed. They also have a butterfly garden. They offer local tours of which we used waterfall hiking (~ 2 h) and a zip-line (another 2 h). The main reason why we choose this resort was that they offer private hikinng tours to the volcano which, unfortunately, we couldn't do becuase there was an eription two days before we arrived and te park was closed. overall: very positive experience - we recommend it.

It was exceptionally clean and the tours were great. The grounds are incredible. The many pools, and the flora and fauna around the resort are beyond compare. A great place for kids to explore and run around, and lots of private areas for couples or singles. The food was wonderful and Victor in the restaurant was a real pleasure. The tubing tour was huge fun, but very aggressive. I would not recommend it for children under age 14. Overall, it was a fabulous experience.
