Tequendama Suites by DOT Premium

We had a suite of adjoining rooms for a very good price. That means we had a great amount of space including 4 queen sized beds, 3 bathrooms and 2 kitchens. That is all the positive. The rooms need to be updated. The decor is old and tired. There was no hot water this morning to shower. The restaurant was good but the second day the buffet was out of anything I would want to eat. Also, my husband made an appointment for a massage and when he got there they said they had to cancel because the people ahead of him were late and they weren't done with their massage. That's extremely poor customer service. In all, I was not impressed. I also want to point out that this hotel does not have AC which might be common in Bogota but it was really warm in our room. Also, the listing on Expedia said there was a concierge but there isn't one and we needed someone to help find tours. Another very strange thing was we got room service for our son who was tired and didn't want to go to the restaurant, and when they delivered the food they wanted to be paid instead of charging it to the room and my son's credit card didn't work and he had to call us to talk to the staff. I've never been to a hotel that you couldn't charge room service to the room. Also same rule in the restaurant. Couldn't put that on the room. It seems more of a hotel for business travel than family vacation.

Surrounded by multiple dining and shopping options. Excellent staff, excellent food in their restaurants. Excellent suites for a family of five.

Really bad service. Had to wait with my little baby for an hour before check-in. When I asked why they took so long the host was really rude, not returning to this place

We choose this property for the location for our wedding on a Venue nearby. We knew this was not a 5 star but my family and I did not had a pleasant time while we stayed. We reserved two rooms and the one special room for our wedding night. First, the rooms are not clean, towels with stains and the tub is old with heavy stains, faucets missing, the room we chose for three beds the sofabed was dirty and did not work. The worst was in service, made us wait until 3:45 to give us the room because was not ready. When having breakfast my father-in-law was was sitting on a table drinking a cup of coffee and made him stand up because they need the the table and was not having “breakfast”, he has a disability that walks with a cane because of surgery and cannot stay up for long. The cherry on top was that for our wedding night they offer us a special “romance” package and stayed at the check in that it was paid included on our expedia reservation, looked on expedia for our reservation and I thought because if the special room I choose this was part of it, returned after the wedding to pick up the key and we were excited on what surprise to expect! The surprise was that the room was already ocupied. Late at night. People screamed when we opened the door. Return to the lobby and just say ohhh it was a mistake on our part sorry. After 30 min gave us a regular room. The next day talked to the “manager” and she did not offered any refund for their wrong doing

This review is in consideration that we are a family of 5 and it’s hard to find hotels that can accommodate us. - Area around hotel is not a safe any time after the sunsets. - Staff was a hit and miss. Most where not to caring or knowledgeable. - Room was nothing that I expected or are use too. * no internet for the first two nights 2007 router was not working. * it was a suite with a kitchenette, not one plate or cup or utensil. * The shower had an electric heater attached to the shower head. Every time I took a shower after about two minutes the lights would go out. So cold and dark showers. Called front desk they would just force the breaker back on until the next time I showered. * all the soap provided had a white linen perfume smell. You end up smelling like that all day. The breakfast Buffy was good Would not recommend it to anyone!!

Confortable beds. Really great showers. Lots of space for large families. The breakfast included is also an excellent addition since it’s a more than complete breakfast with fresh fruits, baked goods, natural juices, and authentic food. Excellent service.
