The Locale Hotel Grand Cayman

The front desk staff was welcoming and helpful and our family suite (had a loft) was very clean and spacious. The kids loved the upstairs loft! And while the free breakfast was delicious, I felt most of the wait staff wasn't happy serving free breakfast to us. Initially, I thought they were just having a bad day but it was the entire 4 days we were there, from rushing us to order to then unhappily serving us. Upon observation, it seems they were this way towards a certain demographic only which is odd because we are of the same demographic. I recommend switching to free self-service breakfast if the wait staff isn't happy serving free breakfast to all customers.

Absolutely wonderful. My wife and I were traveling with our 8 month old and The Locale was great. The room was perfect for us. The had a crib ready for us and the staff COULD NOT BE ANY NICER. Everyone went above and beyond to help us and make sure we were taken care of. My little 8 month old was treated like family by all the staff. They were so wonderful with him.

We had a wonderful stay. We stayed for four nights in the family suite. The suite accommodated four of us comfortably. There was a king bed, sleeper couch and two twin beds. The location was perfect not far by public bus to many destinations such as public access seven mile beach and many restaurants. We got breakfast included from their restaurant bonfire that was incredible each morning. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in getting around. All in all a great stay and would stay again.

Great stay hopefully i can afford another trip here with the whole family one day!!

Definitely a great place to Stay for a short visit. The rooms were absolutely amazing so clean they look brand new and they were huge. People were amazing But it’s definitely not a place you would take your family to. The pool was very small maybe 10 chairs total, no gym. I highly recommend it just not for a vacation stay.

The Locale was amazing. The family suite was perfect for my family of 3. The made to order breakfast was a great bonus and all the staff and servers were so friendly and accommodating.

Good value for the price: would like for there to be more amenities offered onsite or possibly daily events I.e something for the children. Staff friendly and attentive.

We had the two level family suite and it was so well appointed. Great for our family of three. The included breakfast was fantastic, goo options to choose from. The hotel is centrally located to alot of walkable places.

The Locale was GREAT! It may not be the 'fanciest' hotel in the area with the Marriott, Kimpton, Ritz, etc etc but we would absolutely stay there again. It's off the busy main road but that road has sidewalks and it's actually where everyone walks so don't let that concern you! It's safe and easy to get to many, many great restaurants and the beach is less than a 5 min walk and it's a beautiful beach! Mostly though, we LOVED the staff. They were all so kind, helpful, and friendly. You felt like a guest in their home and they were all very sweet. The morning breakfast was a big bonus as food on the Island is expensive. But, they have a great selection and the servers in the restaurant in the morning are FANTASTIC! They get to know you after a few days :). We also LOVED the beach chairs, towels, sand toys, and beach bags available for use...that was awesome! And the room was perfect-- we are a family of 5 so having a queen couch pull out, a king bed, and two twins up in the loft was essential and it didn't feel crowded. It was comfortable, clean, and we felt very safe and bonus to walk right downstairs for ice cream or across the street for anything else. I really, really appreciated this hotel for the value, the staff, and the comfort for a family. It was perfect! Thank you!!!

Room and location are amazing. Staff made our stay very special. It was my daughter's birthday, and they went above and beyond. Special thanks to Amber and Paul. It was a little issue in the hotel, but staff tried to rectify it and tried to do their best to help us; hence, my rating is still 5 stars. The good part is that it is a walking distance to the beach and supermarket and breakfast is included. Hotel provides beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas and some toys for kids free of charge. Also, kids room was upstairs which is an added bonus. Please, note that internet was on a slower side but we came for vacation, so that did not bother us.
