The best hospitality experience so far. I loved my stay at the hotel. Location is perfect for old town & coffee/restaurants are 2 mins away. The host family were phenomenal & very accommodating. I will return and recommend others to stay. Breakfast was simple and coffee was really good.

Lovely small old boutiquey almost B&B style hotel which doubles as a vietnamese restaurant in the evening run by same family owners. We didn't experience any noise problems from restaurant or the location as hotel is on a quieter street looking onto a small park area around the corner from a busy street. In fact location is excellent just inside old city walls very close to the main sights. Very flexible and friendly hosts who accommodated late check-in. Basic but good breakfast of croissant, toast, yoghurt and banana brought to your table rather than buffet style self sevice. Comfortable bed. Nice view over park from (room 2) window. I would happily recommend staying here.

These folks are the definitions of hospitality. The rooms are everything you want in old Quebec. The family rooms have washrooms with showers. And they are very accommodating! Would definitely stay here again! Our 12 year old liked it. And the location was great!

My daughter and i stayed 3 nights the location is perfect for walking anywhere in the old city. The restaurant in the hotel has the most delicious Thai Vietnamese Cambodian assortment and the hostess family of the hotel were the sweetest most helpful people. The rooms are older updated and very clean ours was in the top attic floor so much space but you have to climb many many stairs. For us not a problem for some maybe. Overall our stay here was an enjoyable, very sweet and unique experience. Staff are so very accommodating. Thank you family at the La Chouette.

In the heart of Old Quebec, close to everything! Room was small but very clean with all of the amenities. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The on-site restaurant was very good and always appeared fully booked for dinner by locals and tourists alike. If you want an affordable, immersive experience this is an excellent choice. Note, there is no elevator so if you have mobility issues, request a room on the first floor as the spiral staircase may present a challenge. We would return to this location as the host family takes great pride in providing great service.

This hotel is in a great location and was primarily why we chose it. As some of the other reviews mention, it does have a large spiral staircase leading up to the rooms so it is not a good choice if you have any accessibility concerns. We liked the automated hotel system as it was easy to get to our room and get settled without having to stand in lines. We stayed for a week and were in two different rooms and both were clean with charm. The first room had a very hard bed so we had difficulty sleeping. The hotel was also under construction which we weren’t told about and isn’t mentioned on their website so we were woken up by noise at 5:30 am two days. Due to electrical problems in connection with the construction, we were asked to move to a different room. The second room had a much comfier bed but it had plumbing problems mainly very low water pressure and the toilet wouldn’t always flush. We never received attendance to our rooms so towels were not updated. During the second half of the week, a family was staying there and they let their preteens run around the hotel, yelling, playing games, and jumping until 3:00 am. While this is a parenting issue, it’s difficult because there is no staff on sight to address these kinds of issues so you just have to deal with it. All automated hotels we have stayed in before had 18+ policies to address this. The rooms were cute and it was in a great spot, but with no room attendance and construction, should be discounted.
