Kent Inn

It was very clean, and run by a very friendly family staff.

Kent Inn is my fav place to stay if a room is available when I plan to travel to Lindsay. Normally I have nothing to critique. I always feel very comfortable and safe and the amenities are perfect for my needs. My last trip was booked in a room with a King sized bed for my husband and I. Unfortunately he came down sick so I traveled on my own. I couldn't cancel the room in time and I didn't really want to cancel since my travel was due to a death in the family. Check in was great. The room was lovely. No complaints in that regard. What did concern me was that the safety latch on the door was broken and didn't provide any security. I didn't notice until after the front desk was closed and I was securing the room for the night. I didn't have any other options for locking the door so there was no sense of security for me. I didn't sleep a wink. Since I couldn't sleep I thought there may be options to make a cup of tea but the only item provided was one packet of coffee. No tea bags and only enough creamer and sugar for one cup of coffee. Disappointing but not a deal breaker for the next trip to the area. Kent Inn is still #1 in my books and my first choice. I usually bring tea bags and other things when I travel but I hadn't thought of it in advance under the distressing circumstances of losing a family member. I do hope that the security lock will be fixed. I'll be sure to check first next time I book. Enjoy your stay!!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were quiet and beds were comfortable. Great place to stay while visiting family in the area.

This place was okay, nothing fancy. Seems like a family run place where they have made an effort to upgrade an old building. I didn't find the bathroom super clean and missing drain cover. The small window would not lock and let in significant light all night from the building behind (so keep closed the bathroom door). I could not close the entry door easily, and the weather stripping was off letting in light and potential for other things. Overall, I would stay there in a pinch but not a place for a getaway (which was our intention).

I've lost count for how many times I've stayed here while visiting family in the area. This hotel is my first choice in Lindsay. The room this time, 111, with double beds is absolutely my favorite even over the queen rooms. The reason being that this room is very bright which I appreciated for getting ready. I found the queen room very dark in the corner with the mirror. No way you can do makeup etc if someone is in the bathroom. Also the beds were just sooo comfortable. Excellent rest at the end of an exhausting day. I'd love to have safety bars in the tub as well. Other than those minor things, this is a great place to stay. I appreciate that the floors are NOT carpeted. Looking forward to my next stay.
