This was my 3rd time at the Pines in the last year. Reading other reviews I would say if you researched the property before staying you would know that the building was built in 1929 so has 1929 charm and history. The historic photos of the hotel are great!! This is something that attracted me to the property so much that I decided to spend last Christmas here and have just booked for this upcoming Christmas. Yes the bathrooms are small and dated, but everything worked and that is a plus with me. My only issue with the rooms is a lack of a mini fridge. I hear this is in future plans. In the meantime, I bring a cooler or XL zip lock bags for ice and a cold bag which I set in the bathtub. The grounds are lovely. The staff is helpful. The breakfast buffet is my favorite of anywhere!!! But most of all.... BEST POOL EVER!!!!!!! If you are timid swimmer like myself so much room to be away from splashing children :) I had the opportunity to swim on Boxing Day last year. It was amazing, the water was so warm, the snow lightly fell at times, and the mist rising. Only tip if you are not a dunker like myself wear a hat. The earlobes get chilly. Looking forward to Christmas by the fireplace...

Nice staff and location for a quick overnight stay after enjoying whale watching in Freeport. Looks like a fun family spot to relax and enjoy beautiful Digby.

Gorgeous grounds. Great playground for the kids. We stayed in a cabin which was perfect and had a nice view of the ocean. Staff were very friendly.

The rooms & bathrooms are very outdated and need to be updated. There is no mini fridge available either. Was told less than a week prior to coming to the resort that there is no RMT for the massage I booked at the spa and then less than 2 days before coming to the resort I was told they were cancelling the Canada Day buffet I had booked tor my family & I. Really disappointed in the lack of activities. Would not stay here again.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin, which couldn't have been more perfect for our family. Everything was clean, staff brought fresh towels each day. The fireplace was ready to roll if the weather didn't cooperate. The pool was fantastic! And the breakfast buffet at Churchills (restaurant on site) was amazing! We really enjoyed our stay and hope to get back again soon.

We traveled for two weeks in the Maritime Provinces and this was by far the best hotel we stayed in. It has many activities for children (although it was Sept and kids we back at school), food was very good and the mattress was just like home. A work of caution: Watch out for the slippery floor at the pool/health club, I fell.

No EV charger! So worn out and very dated. We stayed in a cabin for $500 a night. It was dark, musty and smelled of smoke. The furniture was worn out with holes in the fabric. The beds were very uncomfortable. The pillows were horrible. There were spiders and cobwebs inside and outside the cabin. It felt like a cheap motor inn from the 1980’s. There was nothing luxurious about this property. Such a huge disappointment and extremely overpriced. And it was freezing cold. We turned the heat on but it didn’t work. The kids enjoyed the outdoor heated pool and the breakfast buffet for $25/pp was ok. I have nothing else to say except avoid this place if you don’t want to be very disappointed and throw your money away.
