Super family friendly! Absolutely loved our stay.

The BEST family place. Property, pool, history.....we just had the best time!

We had a great time. There were a lot of things for the kids to do at the hotel with 2 pools and a game room.

This hotel is so luxurious! Beautiful historic resort overlooking st Andrew’s! Walkable into town (although with a hill!). Beautiful lounge area and fireplaces, gorgeous grounds. Comfortable room. Great for families (great water slide at indoor pool). Free parking. No complaints at all. Highly recommend!

Historical properties are always a mixed bag. The ambiance can be great, the ceilings high, and the windows quirky...but the tradeoff comes in odd bathroom configurations, etc. In this case, was very disappointed in the lack of dining options (the on-site pub is closed midweek). The sink was so small (the result of squeezing in/retrofitting central a/c duct-work that you could barely fit a toothbrush on the side. At check-out, they tried to issue us a check (in Canadian dollars) for the balance of our "security deposit," and we had to push to have the balance returned to our credit card instead. But the enclosed slide into the pool was a hit for the kids!

Carpet in room wasn’t fresh, staff were slow at times and seemed overwhelmed at reservation desk so had a few long waits - property great- shuttle to golf was very convenient - kids play room with pool table was fun but a bit dungeony Just needs a refresh but location is awesome

Two night stay with four adults annd two grandchildren. The Algonquin Resort now taken over by Marriott is catering more to young families with lots of in house activities aimed at keeping children amused. Kids loved the large, bright swimming pool with a hot tub and an enormous water slide. A A great time had by all. Stayed in two connecting Studio rooms each with two queen beds and a kitchenette. Free buffet breakfast for younger children and one night almost free )because of my Hotels.com rewards made this delightful but expensive holiday more affordable.

Our stay wasn't perfect, therefore i cant necessarily give it an Excellent rating. However, the atmosphere, the rooms, dining options, and especially the Staff members were outstanding. Everytime I passed by a staff they always asked how my day was going or a simple greeting and it was very lovely. The waiters & waitresses were so kind and patient. The ghost tour is phenomenal. Ethan, the tour guide for that day, was so charismatic and an incredible story teller. He had our whole group captivated for the 30 minutes. I loved the Adult Swim option they offered at 10pm-11pm. The food was phenomenal from the Pub downstairs to the buffet breakfast they offer. All of it was delicious! The downsides to the stay was I found a previous guests earring bud in the sheets of the bed. I also noticed there was some black stains on the white blankets we had. There was no body wash remaining in the bottle hanging in the shower. Our biggest complaint was the lack of sound proofing. We heard every conversation outside of our room, guests footsteps as well. Overall it was a fantastic stay, and I took the time to write this review for the simple fact that it was amazing, there was just some minor things that created minor inconveniences. The resort itself is gorgeous. The sheer size of it towers over all of Saint Andrews and it is magnificent. Definitely would recommend to families and couples! 4.5 Stars!
