Super family friendly! Absolutely loved our stay.

This hotel is so luxurious! Beautiful historic resort overlooking st Andrew’s! Walkable into town (although with a hill!). Beautiful lounge area and fireplaces, gorgeous grounds. Comfortable room. Great for families (great water slide at indoor pool). Free parking. No complaints at all. Highly recommend!

Two night stay with four adults annd two grandchildren. The Algonquin Resort now taken over by Marriott is catering more to young families with lots of in house activities aimed at keeping children amused. Kids loved the large, bright swimming pool with a hot tub and an enormous water slide. A A great time had by all. Stayed in two connecting Studio rooms each with two queen beds and a kitchenette. Free buffet breakfast for younger children and one night almost free )because of my Hotels.com rewards made this delightful but expensive holiday more affordable.

Our stay wasn't perfect, therefore i cant necessarily give it an Excellent rating. However, the atmosphere, the rooms, dining options, and especially the Staff members were outstanding. Everytime I passed by a staff they always asked how my day was going or a simple greeting and it was very lovely. The waiters & waitresses were so kind and patient. The ghost tour is phenomenal. Ethan, the tour guide for that day, was so charismatic and an incredible story teller. He had our whole group captivated for the 30 minutes. I loved the Adult Swim option they offered at 10pm-11pm. The food was phenomenal from the Pub downstairs to the buffet breakfast they offer. All of it was delicious! The downsides to the stay was I found a previous guests earring bud in the sheets of the bed. I also noticed there was some black stains on the white blankets we had. There was no body wash remaining in the bottle hanging in the shower. Our biggest complaint was the lack of sound proofing. We heard every conversation outside of our room, guests footsteps as well. Overall it was a fantastic stay, and I took the time to write this review for the simple fact that it was amazing, there was just some minor things that created minor inconveniences. The resort itself is gorgeous. The sheer size of it towers over all of Saint Andrews and it is magnificent. Definitely would recommend to families and couples! 4.5 Stars!

Overall great place to stay with a family. It seems like hotel was short staffed and our room and facilities were not as clean and well maintained as they have been in previous years. Our room had multiple large stains on the carpet and walls / furniture definitely showed wear and tear. While staff was all very friendly and welcoming, housekeeping seemed to have skipped our room three days in a row. Two of which, we were out of the room for nearly 8 hours during the day and our room was not serviced (even with the door tag requesting service). The indoor pool area was also was not well maintained in terms of routine cleaning throughout the day (emptying trash, replenishing pool towels) the pool / spa could use a deep clean (hot tub was grimey). We would stay here again because kids love it, but was definitely disappointed in terms of cleanliness during this stay. I understand workforce issues are impacting the hospitality industry, but hopefully they will be able to get more help soon.

The Algonquin, St Andrews is an annual trip for our family. The kids are now teenagers and still look forward to the Algonquin as their favorite part of their Summer Vacation. This tine was the first time wevalso brought our family dog Layla. She was so welcomed and she loved every bit of her stay too. Thank you Staff and Management. See you next year.

Great Family Resort. Lots of families with kids. Pool areas were large and heavily used. Building is old and historic that was updated some years ago. Could use another refresh update but a good hotel.

This hotel could not be more perfect. So much to do, excellent quality. Loved being her with my family.
