The hotel exceeded our expectations. We stayed for a weekend with our toddler and dog. Very dog friendly area with a nice off leash walking trail along the lake. The views from the property are excellent. If you love biking this is a perfect stay as you can ride the bike trail easily from hotel. We rented a boat from jones boats in Ainsworth for a day and that was a highlight of our trip. Would stay here again, good and beverage also great on site. The rooms are slightly out dated but so clean that it really doesn’t matter & the views and area make up for that no problem. Rest of hotel is updated and lovely.

The room was wonderful and super comfortable! Very nice layout and nice amenities. Only downside is that the rooms are noisy, you hear the other guests. We were woken up several times by presumably children knocking on our room door.

Loved our stay at the Lakeside Resort. In Nelson to see family so it was a handy location for get together and go for walks etc. Would recommend as a friendly and relaxing location to stay.

There for a busy soccer tournament weekend. Very noisy with people having loud gatherings in rooms until late and kids/teens running up and down the hallways and yelling (we had to be up at 6 am for an early game). No refund policy as well for a $250/night room which was disappointing as we didn't end up needing one of the nights we booked. Will look elsewhere before booking here again.

When you pay near $300 for a room at a prestige lakeside property and you get the room next to an external door on the ground floor on the city side facing the car pack there is no other review than, disappointed. This property is under renovation. The coffee shop is permanently closed. There is no sound proofing. People and kids coming until all hours making lots of noise in thw corridors, skiers stamping around at 6am. It feels this building has cardboard walls. We just had a week at Sutton place in revelstoke. Could not rate that experience highly enough. As for the Nelson prestige lakeside property. Don't waste your time or money. This property over promises and badly under delivers.

The front desk staff when we checked were great, the room it self was clean, the bathroom toilet was very dirty, no coffee was supplied for the coffee machine. For the price we paid very disappointed and will not be staying again, will be passing this on to friends and family.
