Angkor Heart Village

From the moment we arrived, the staff were superb. Kind and attentive yet genuine and not overbearing. We stayed in what looks like an extension of the original hotel so the surrounds and reception area are still a work in progress. However, the individual villas in a typical Khmer style with a private pool were an absolute delight, perfect when travelling as a young family. No words can express the gratitude for all the welcome 'home' snacks daily and even a 'Happy New Year' cake. Nothing seemed like too much trouble and we even received some stunning scarves as farewell gifts. Loved every minute. We saw the not-so-central location as an advantage, a peaceful oasis to come back to at the end of a busy day. The only noise was a cute rooster waking us every morning and distant drumbeat from the Cambodian Circus (just across the road) every night. We highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone who is looking for an authentic and unforgettable Cambodian experience.

The service at Angkhor Heart was better than five star! My family and I we’re so impressed with the staff they were all amazing from check in to check out. There are fancier hotels in Siem Reap but I guarantee that none of them offer the service that this hotel provides.

The 11-person staff (from the neighboring villages) is incredibly professional, courteous and attentive. Whenever we went swimming, the staff appeared with towels. The staff was always cleaning, gardening, cooking or hosting. The entire environment - from the wood interior to the authentic landscaping - all memorable experiences for my family. Even more exceptional is the story behind the enterprise. After years of selling meats in the market, the female founder decided to make use of her family’s orchard. With the help of her incredibly handy father and electrician husband, she monitored the construction of every construction detail. She applies the same attention to the guest experience. Not only does the owner bring out the food, she also brings your luggage to your room. So much humility! We will definitely return and evangelize about Angkor Heart Bungalow.

What can I say about Angkor Heart that hasn't already been said? What sets Angkor Heart apart is the care and attention they give you, as if you're the only guest there and your comfort and experience is the only thing that matters. It's family run and I really can't fault the place and the staff of 11 - thanks Sinat and the rest of the team! The huts and the grounds were clean and very well maintained. The breakfast choice is extensive, plentiful and delicious. I think we went through all the options. We ate in a couple of times and the food is very good and reasonably priced. They give you fresh coconut juice every day which is perfect after a long day out in the sun temple hopping. The free one way tuktuk ride to town was very convenient. We also booked a tour guide through them. The lady owner even helped us sort a problem out with the van we booked (through a tour company) to drive us to Phnom Penh. Thank you so much. You even get a small gift when you check out. I would high recommend this place and I would book again in a heartbeat!

The Food , the People, the room, this was just the best price /quality hotel during our 7 week Asia. Trip. Would definitely recommend and love to return. Thank you for taking such good care of my family!
