The food options were delicious with many options. You could have fast food or fine dining. The property is beautifully landscaped with great amenities. Our only complaint was the shuttle to and from the Water Taxi. It was late for pickup at the airport and we missed the water taxi. We had to wait 1 and a half hours at the port for the next water taxi. We paid for roundtrip transport for our family of 5 and the ride back to the airport was a no show. Thank God another driver made arrangements to take us to the airport.

Recently had an excellent stay at Alaia Belize. Beautiful resort, excellent staff from bar (we will miss Kenroy's attentiveness and Derwyne's smoothies!) to restaurants (delicious food) to housekeeping (shoutout to Lupita for tending to our room each day!). Safe, walkable distance to local restaurants and shops and a quick ride to San Pedro airport. 10/10. We travelled as a family of 4, 2 kids aged 10 and 12.

The proprty is nice the food is gross. They cater to American populations and mess up the food- expensive, not tasty and presentation is blah. ALSO THE PROPERTY IS 1.5 MILES south od airport and even farther from san pedro town. I ordered an arnold palmer and notice black bugs at the bottom of the glass. Took one picture before the waiter took my glass abd said he will tell the bar tender. When i brough it to the managers attention he was like i have never had this reported before, yeah no kidding you all cover it up. When i showed him pictures, he went to the bar and in 20 sec. The bar tebder said it was tea leaves from the tea. Tea leaves dont have legs and antenna. Plus a few bugs had this cloudy bubble around them - that is NOT tea leaves. The food manager kept asking me where i would be having dinner in the resort and they would comp my bill. I said i wouldnt be eating another thing from the resort and only drinking it it came from an unopened bottle. I would take my chances eating sand flies.

My husband and I stayed at the Alaia for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. There was a guy with an Alaia sign asking if anyone was staying there. We stated yes and he asked our name and checked us off the list. He helped carry our luggage and drove us to the resort were the friendly staff checked us in. We than met Jose who was so friendly and walked us to our room which the hotel kindly upgraded us. He showed us around our room and the hotel as well. That night we had food, drinks and met the lovely bar staff at the VR Bar. I wish I would've wrote her name down but her name started with a P. I heard her telling another lady she was a Coleman. She was friendly and quick at making our drinks. We liked having the different restaurants to choose from. The only complaint I have is the Breakfast package which we paid to have included for our entire stay. We only ate breakfast once because there was nothing hot or meats included in the package. Only options to choose from is fruit, bread basket, oatmeal, yogurt, coffee and juice. Our favorite restaurant was the Rooftop bar. Disappointed that we did not get to enjoy the rooftop pool due to it being too windy. There was always employees making sure the resort was clean and kept. Transfer back to the airport, Ovie was our driver and made sure we made it back safe. Love the Alaia Resort and glad we choose this resort to celebrate my husbands birthday. Will be back with friends and family.
