Beautiful hotel, very comfortable bed, and extremely welcoming staff. The additiona items for the children were a really nice touch, with the super cymute kids bathrobes and the fox for my youngest. The hotel itself is located right inthe centre of Gent, making it so easy to explore within the short stay we were there for. It is a beautiful building with lovely touches and wonderful views. We rarely visit somewhere twice, but are really considering making The Post 1898 a regular fixture in our europe road trip travels for the future.

Staff and bar staff amazing… location although beautiful was surrounded by kids and college students and they’re everywhere! I’ll take Bruges anytime. Also Driving the area is challenging at best.

We loved the decor and ambience. The service was wonderful. However the breakfast was pricy. I would highly recommend their cafe next door. It was excellent snd not as expensive. The only downside was having the shower and sink upstairs. The toilet downstairs had no sink to wash your hands. Not convenient or safe for seniors. Not a family friendly hotel. The rooms were small. But nice if you are young, and healthy and can splurge. The bar is nice but tge drinks are very expensive. Average price for a cocktail was around 20 euros and up.
