The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain

A delightful stay in the villas at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain. We were delightfully surprised to know that the villas were just recently renovated in preparation for an event coming up in the next couple of weeks. Overall, a great getaway for the family.

Went on holiday on my own for the first time since having a baby 3 years ago - it was absolute bliss. You have all the facilities you could want - wonderful restaurants, attentive staff, beautiful resort including a stunning beach with soft soft sand and a spa/ gym to die for. Particular touches I loved included… the running route outside with the distances marked on the floor, the friendly and thoughtful staff, the bed was so comfortable and the Thai restaurant sushi (hammour) was very very yum!!!! I’ve visited Abs Dabs, Dubai and Oman in the region prior to this trip. The beach was one of the best (if not the best) I’ve been on in region (incredibly well maintained). Not a negative (more of an FYI)… Appreciate this is a 5* resort… so for many I’m sure this wouldn’t even factor into their consciousness but I still can’t get my head around the fact a Coca Cola costs 7£. So just a heads up that even a non-alcoholic drink on the beach will add up. All other costs are relative to this, so a main meal (just food) for 1 will set you back anything from 36£ (some sushi) - 100£ (steak).
