Altstadthotel Wolf-Dietrich

We loved staying at this hotel! Hotels can make it difficult traveling with families, but this hotel had room for our entire family. It was perfectly situated.

Family of 4, stayed in a familiy suite (galarie). The room was clean, updated and perfect for a family with 2 bathrooms and plenty of space. AC was nice, room was quiet. Didn't use the spa but it looked very nice. Best was location - 30 sec walk to very nice pedestrian street filled w/ shops and restaurants and leading right to the bridge which takes you across the river into the main part of the old town. Will stay here again when we return. Good value.

Nothing to not like at this hotel. Very impressed with the entire staff helping with taxis, a roll away bed, and even helping us celebrate as an extended family at a large dining table late at night, enjoying a Sacher torte chocolate cake we brought from Vienna. This hotel stay was a highlight of our European trip.

Excellent hotel - clean, well furnished and with excellent service. The staff are friendly and go the extra mile. I’d thoroughly recommend this place. We were travelling with our 18 month old and the hotel couldn’t have been more accommodating; there’s even a baby monitor app on the iPad so you can go downstairs for a drink. Also a very nice pool/spa area.

Lovely hotel right near a fun and walkable area. Staff was wonderful and room was comfortable and clean. Separate area of the room with the beds for my two kids and a place for them to put their stuff. A bit of a walk to the subway but close to bus stops.

The staff was all very nice and accommodating. The location was great on the edge of the old town, so it was quiet but no more then 5-15 min walk to all the sites. There were great dining options just outside the door and many within 1 block or two. We ate a family do we booked a duplex suite and the space was nice and clean, but not as luxurious as I had hoped based on images. Also duplex was on the 4th floor but the lift only went to the 3rd and the bellhop could only carry two bags, so we shelped our own. Also no room service. The breakfast room was lovely with fresh squeezed oj and lovely offerings. Also basement had a pool, sauna, steam room and nice gym. The hotel was lovely for its kind, but we usually stay in something more luxurious as we save all year for our Europe trip. It’s perfect for its type of hotel, but I believe it’s 4 stars ranked on Expedia and I think that accurate fir Europe but as an American it’s more of 3.5 in terms of the the level hotel. It’s excellent for its type of hotel, but if you’re looking for what you would expect at a 4 star in the US, you should select a 4.5 star for your stay instead. However, if you’re more in tourist mode and less in vacation mode or less spoiled it has a great location, it’s super clean, the staff is lovely, bar is charming and beautiful, but it’s just not luxury hotel.

A lovely stay in charming Salzburg. We had a family room/apartment in a bldg across from the hotel. It was top floor with lovely views of the bell tower peaking over the buildings. Very clean. They accomodated our family of 4 nicely with a pull out sofa and twin roll away. 2 bathrooms were very nice. It does have AC, which was very nice.

My third time visiting this beautiful city and I fall more in love each time. The people are absolutely fantastic. Helpful. Knowledgeable.Great staff. This is one of the few hotels who had incl breakfast but the best. Fresh food and juices. Really enjoyed it. Rented a car for 2 days and parking is very convenient, only a 2 min walk from hotel. Room was lovely. We had a family suite and the only suggestion I would make for our room would be to have a set of drawers. Out family loved everything. Thank you to everyone for making our trip incredible.

We had a lovely stay here! We had a family room in the main building, one room with 3 twin beds and a double in the other. The location is perfect, around the corner is the pedestrian only street with lots of shops & restaurants, a quick easy walk to old town. The building is well maintained and clean. Would highly recommend!
