Wyndham Resort Torquay

Resort was good for a one night stop, so we didn’t get to use the pool or facilities. My only disappointment was lack of a restaurant onsite. They had a coffee shop…but limited hours and food. I think the resort would be great for kids. Beware of a potential ‘time share’ sales pitch.

Great if your staying with kids however in the off peak season there is limited options for food onsite and breakfast is very basic.

Liked the facilities on offer especially for the kids - pools, games room, playground.

Will be returning again, amazing for families and beach lovers

We had a lovely family break. Very spacious rooms with a pool view. We had a kitchen area which was very useful. Breakfasts was beautiful. Staff friendly. Central location, across the road from the beach. Indoor pool great and outdoor spa fabulous as too windy when we were there to swim in the pool. The only downside I would say would be the sofa bed was so uncomfortable, one of the worst ones slept in. Also stains on the carpet. I don’t think any hotel should have carpet because of cleanliness.

We had a very enjoyable stay in Wyndham Torquay however was disappointed with the sofa bed which was very uncomfortable and not set up ready for my children. The main bedroom had no air conditioner either although the main living area did. The outdoor pool is fantastic though and the extra activities I.e games room and table tennis was an added bonus. They do have an indoor pool but it was closed. Lucky we didn’t need to use it because we weren’t notified of its closure and I would have been disappointed had it rained or was cold. Other than those few things we had a great stay.

Our apartment was more than we expected...it was fantastic!!! The views from our room.... absolutely awesome!!! The staff.... professional, polite and always smiling!!! The 24hr cafe service... fabulous!!! The pools and spa... beautiful!!! And three of the best beaches all within a coowee!!! And the kids loved the games room!!! Thanking you kindly Wyndham...will definitely be staying again!!! The Smith Family.

Family friendly, great location, we had the two bedroom apartment plenty of room for a family of five. Kids loved the pool only down side of the pool area was not enough shade and bar/drinks/snacks didn’t open till 5pm. Staff were lovely. Parking was a little harder for us having a large vehicle it couldn’t fit in underground car park and the other area was sometimes full.

Great family getaway

The resort was not what expected for the price. No microwave, intermitent internet and television. The indoor pool was never clean, there were floaties even first thing in the morning. Gym equiptment was partly broken. On the positive side, outdoor pools were nice, staff were polite, the rooms were changed over and the kids enjoyed the little bikes to ride around outdoors.
