Mantra Lorne

first family trip away as a couple with a young baby. Ocean view resort room was not what we expected, especially from the cleverly shot photos including what looked like a balcony to in fact be an enclosed window outlook. While the bed was comfy & staff were friendly and helpful some things we found odd were- finding two acceasible powerpoints in the main room, next to the bed we found no easy to find powerpoints realising we had to crawl underneath the bed to plug in our chargers. Having to rinse the bathtub before using it was not what I expected at this standard of a hotel not to mention recieving towels with hair and marks on them. unfortunately even with friendly and kind staff, if we were to return to Lorne we will not be staying at the Mantra.

Our stay was good ( stay #4 over many years) but I wished the bathrooms would be updated. They feel out of date and there was a dripping from the ceiling above the shower where the fan - that was really dusty- is. Also the bath is very high and hard to get in and out of. If it ever gets renovated maybe just put a walking shower in? Staff was really nice and the Happy Hour is a great idea. Also the kids loved the complimentary zooper doopers!

I loved looking out at the gardens around our room and all the lovely children playing safely and happily. The view of the ocean was lovely too. A relaxing place to stay.

Always enjoy staying at the Mantra in Lorne. The facilities are great for couples and more importantly families with a great expansive area to let the kids run around and enjoy. Access to the beach is a mere 2 minute walk to one of the best stretches of beach you’ll find. Lorne itself has great places to eat wether it be fine dining or fish & chips where you’ll find plenty of tables and chairs scattered around the foreshore and also in the access road right behind the Mantra. Great value for money with great rooms and friendly smiling staff. Keep up the great work and we can’t wait to come back and stay again.

This is the ideal venue for a short luxury break with bang for your buck anda gorgeous beach at your fingertips. Mantra Lorne is a five star option with the benefit of convenience and excellent local dining. The beach front location combines a resort style ambience with a relaxing, family friendly vibe. Being five minutes from the beach means you can enjoy the sunset, take a quick dip, or go for a walk into Lorne from along the beach and be back to your room in no time. The buffet breakfast is generous, fresh and delicious plus there‘s a Happy Hour, Restaurant and roomservice in-house and a local foodworks with plenty of yummy picnic options.

We had a fabulous time. The facilities were family friendly and it’s a great location! I didn’t realise breakfast was extra $$$ It would be better if it was included in all room rates. I did have to set up and clean the outdoor dining table and chairs. I would return.
