Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge

Wonderful stay at Peppers. We stayed two nights at last minute and we were checked in quickly by staff and a spare bed made up for our child each time. I am writing this review as I read some other reviews that were less than favourable and nearly didn’t stay for this reason. Do not let this deter you, however, have reasonable expectations. This is a remote lodge in the wilderness, this is what you’re paying for. It is not a five star retreat. The location could not be better, the staff are attentive and helpful and the cabins were toasty warm. We did one cabin with the gas log fire and another with the combustion fire. Both were great. We ate dinner twice at the lodge, the service was fast and efficient and meals decent. Breakfast was basic, we loved watching the snow fall from the window. We had a brilliant time at Peppers and look forward to coming back one day - it all made for a very magical Cradle Mountain experience. Thank you! Spa suite was nice until it came time for the cleaners to service the room. They didn't clean the spa bath which had left a rust like residue from the jets (I'm guessing they hadn't been used in a while) and the cleaner tracked pademelon poo all through the carpet. Not good when I have an infant crawling around. Overall the facilities were ok but in my opinion overpriced for what you get.
