Crowne Plaza Adelaide, an IHG Hotel

When we arrived we were immediately greeted with an unfriendly staff member. We had a car and luggage with two children. There’s no valet service, which is fine but it just seemed like asking for any assistance with where to park the car and luggage was really bothering this staff member. The hotel could have better prepared guests by explaining the parking arrangement before arrival as part of the email confirming the booking. The room and bathroom were clean. It was however, the housekeeping during our stay that was disappointing. On the first day, they cleaned the glasses but missed emptying the full bin in the bedroom. On the second day they didn’t bother cleaning/replacing the dirty glasses and didn’t even remove the cups for drinks we’d ordered from their bar. I would’ve called housekeeping but the room’s phone no longer worked. Staff however, upon request did help me retrieve clothes I’d accidentally bundled with the pool towels and placed in the return casket. We were out at dinner and someone brought it to our room. It’s Summer and even though weather was 30 plus degrees, the pool water was still cold. Would’ve loved a heated pool for the children. The kids were in the pool for a mere 10mins and gave up. It’s a pity because it’s a nice view up there.

Staff at breakfast were rude and abrupt. Option to include kids breakfast wasn't available so had to pay $19/child which is excessive.

For families Sharing a twin room, the beds are way too small. Upholstery and chairs on level 10 probably needs some cleaning. Check out at 11am was good.

We loved everything about our stay at Crowne Plaza we are super fussy and this hotel didn't disappoint. The staff were amazing in particular a staff member called 'Maria' who took the time to deliver to our room a list of all the best local attractions suitable for our family, this was amazing as we hadn't been to Adelaide before. Thank you Maria as this was so kind & personal to our holiday.

Entry to hotel is terrible with the stairs. Libby on level 10 throws people off. Breakfast was terrible! If you’re a family of 3 breakfast is only complimentary for 2 people and we paid $19 for my 4.5 year old to eat 2 pieces of toast! Room wasn’t clean and was quite dusty.

Great facilities close to the mall, room was great for a family getaway. The lack of service around the pool was noticeable and got many people frustrated and having to wait for extended periods of time. Some people didn’t have to pay for their drinks because of the delay sadly we were not some of those people.

It was a great experience staying here, and my two children enjoyed it too. The buffet breakfast and the city views really were amazing.

We booked a junior suite for a week. It was excellent. The Hotel is in a fabulous position. The best restaurants and bars are literally around the corner. Rundle Mall an easy stroll.

The room itself was fine, comfortable and clean but pretty much everything else was disappointing. We arrived at check in time 3pm and no parking cards were available. Check in was very slow with staff showing no interest of the growing line of guests arriving.The hotel itself is nice enough though the common areas are noisy. The bar is right next to the pool and reception with noisy kids running around ( not the hotels fault just lazy parents ) so not a great place for a quiet drink. The restaurant ( Koomo ) was disappointing for dinner though breakfast in the same area was very nice. Overall for a price of mid $300's a night I would expect better and there is better in Adelaide.

Great stay but the water of the pool was on the cooler side for the kids to swim in
