Freedom Shores

You cant get a better slice of paradise than Freedom Shores. We love this place for its tranquil surroundings yet so close to Northerlies for a relaxing drink, eat and vibe. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and they make you feel comfortable with children as part of the booking. We love this place, nothing to improve.

Tour stay at Freedom Shores was spectacular. We loved the resort and the story behind the landscape. They had a pool available 24/7 fenced off (which is kids friendly). However, unfortunately there were some down sides to it, for example; a few of the staff at the reception was not quite friendly and had unpleasant non approachable expression, also the breakfast that was included wasn’t what we expected (not even eggs to be served also what was more disappointing there was bread served the next day from the day before which didn’t feel fresh). Also, to keep in mind that on the net it says (Freedom shores Hamilton island) but it isn’t located in Hamilton island it is located in Airlie Beach which mean you will need to fly to Hamilton island and take a ferry which cost for 2 people $120 for only ONE WAY (which we paid overall $240 for ferry). Though, another alternative is that you can fly to Airlie beach directly to stay at freedom shores. Overall, our stay at freedom shores was very different as we had the opportunity to attend “ocean rafting” to see the Great Barrier Reef.
