Coolum Seaside

We stayed here for an extended weekend for a Friday wedding in March and the whole weekend was fantastic. It's an apartment style complex with comfortable modern rooms that were spotless. Ours was a studio that opened right out onto the pool area (one of three) with a big comfy bed and great options for lighting or darkening the room. Despite being on the ground floor the room was quiet and spacious so we never felt cramped or got that 'messy hotel room' feel. And the security was excellent throughout the complex from underground parking through to the rear entrance to our room. We were hardly in the room because it was so close to the main beaches and shopping area of Coolum, but the numerous ways to walk back tot he complex made our room a convenient base for resting between outings. The Seaside complex was also conveniently located to drive to nearby towns, the highway and within distance to the other hotels the bride and groom had recommended for their wedding guests. The hotel staff were lovely and personable and had great recommendations for dinner. The Thai place they recommended had an amazing Pad Thai that many of the wedding guests ended up revisiting. We don't travel to the Sunshine Coast very often, but I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family heading up that way. It felt more like a home away from home than many holiday complexes I've stayed in.

The apartments are huge and great for families with small children. They are older style with older looking furniture but again that is fine when you have small children. Easy walk to the beach and the bbq area was great
