Grand Palais Beachside Resort

Great place to stay family loved it The beach across the road was was family friendly

We stayed at the Grand Palais for 9 nights in a standard ocean front apartment - my husband, myself and our 2.5 year old. The apartment was much bigger than I expected and the furniture and kitchen were more modern than what I remembered from the photos. Beds were comfortable, TV in the lounge and master. We loved the spa bath, however the bathroom could definitely use an update. There were a couple of things that could be improved such as an updated fridge - we struggled to get it cold enough, and a good clean as some of the walls were really grubby. It’s a 17ish minute walk (with a pram) to Mooloolaba and there are hill, we found this pretty easy as we are relatively fit and made the trip most days. The pool was close to our room (and is to most rooms I assume by the lay out)and was incredibly loud when children were playing and yelling. Customer service was incredible and my son was even gifted a really gorgeous teddy from one of the staff which we called “Alex”. The area surrounding was nice with a couple of options to eat which were all pretty tasty however. All in all, great!

Great location you can walk across the road to the beach ,the pool was awesome the kids loved it. Lots of great places to eat in walking distance.

AC and fans not working, ok in winter i guess, but like to sleep with a fan on. The main light in bedroom is attached to fan so wasnt working - i think batteries needed to be replaced. Lamps in bedroom kept flickering so unplugged from wall, apart from that very enjoyable stay with young children.
