Holiday Inn Sydney Potts Point, an IHG Hotel

Stayed here for three nights with my family. Breakfast is pretty good and the room is nice.

Great Large rooms for families . lots of dining options and short walk into the city

Very good location and access right next to Kings Cross station. Good food options nearby to eat-in or take-away. Good way to enjoy few days in Sydney with family

This stay was part of a family holiday with Grandparents, mum and dad and two grandchildren. Even though I made the booking together we were separated in that the grandparents were in one wing and the family of mum and dad and two children were in another wing. The room we had was quite acceptable with the decor a little dated, but quite acceptable. We had an issue on the first night with the shower head leaking all over the place and once reported to reception was fixed the next day. The family on the other hand had a room with two double beds and while the room was acceptable, they continually got 3 towels each day even though the staff knew there was four in the room. In addition, the wing they were in seemed to be party central. With loud noises in the hallway late at night and even next door it seemed they were having a party in the room all night. Quite disappointing seeing as we booked together, we were separated and the stay was quite expensive. From our experience I would stay again, but my daughter has said she would never stay again. It’s a shame really as it’s a pretty good hotel in a convenient place.

The room was spacious, very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, especially the pillows!!! I now am seriously considering upgrading my mattress and pillows at home as I had the best 2 nights sleep in a very long time!!! Also the view was beautiful, especially at night. The staff were lovely, the waiters were friendly, the buffet breakfast was great value too. My kids really enjoyed their stay, the walk to circular quay was lovely ,through Wooloomooloo, the botanical gardens (which were gorgeous), and along the waterfront, past the Opera House, and so convenient fir trains/ferries. The best 3 day stay we have had in a very long time! Can’t wait to do it again, great quality family time had by all!!!
