Crowne Plaza Sydney Burwood, an IHG Hotel

We arrived at night, staff at check in were lovely. We were so surprised when we got to our room at how large it was and it had a massive balcony, really nice room and amenities. Breakfast included was nice and again very friendly staff. Great location for what we needed and we enjoyed visiting the Burwood Chinatown night markets just up the road. Nice park with a playground a short walk away for the kids and close to the Burwood train station. Easy parking under the building too. Wish we'd had a chance to check out the pool

Clean and modern hotel, my kids enjoyed the heated pool. Staff and receptionist were very nice.

This hotel is fabulous. Beautiful, very large room, to fit family of 5 easily. Rooftop pool is amazing, with views to the city. Especially nice at night. Highly recommend.

I stayed here with my family, We were checked in and greeted by a lovely admin lady… We arrived and opened the door to what we thought would be a premium instead it wasn’t, it wasn't what we booked and I was very unhappy, wasn’t enough towels, no robes, basically no room for 3 kids to relax either.. We booked for a premium suite which I must say was very costly, We were given a standard room.. we then had to ask the receptionist about the rooms etc, and to my surprise I dont think Crown Plaza would of told us they gave us another room due to the “ overbooking “ instead we had to complain and query on this issue.. so if we hadn’t said something I know for sure they wouldn’t of told us about this which makes me wonder… do they do this all the time? do they rip people off alot? anyways we are still waiting for a reply and a “ partial refund” so lets hope the refund is somewhat reasonable because we certainly didn’t get a park view. we got a view of the bins outside and neighbours hanging their washing lol. anyways all in all… Our experience would of been alot better if we weren’t jam packed into a small room for 5 people… I dont think I will be using this hotel again.

We had an amazing stay at the Crowne Plaza in Burwood. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and dealt with any queries very efficiently, from the room needing an extra clean, providing extra towels for the pool and allowing us to make local calls, the staff were great. The Skye pool is a fantastic feature and really family friendly as there’s no bar open before 4, so we pretty much had the pool to ourselves. Would definitely recommend this hotel. We stayed in Burwood close to family, but liked the areas great food, park and good transport links to the city.

Friendly & helpful staff, children enjoyed the pool, close to all amenities.

Great staff, large rooms, clean, easy parking , travelling with family

Stuffed up our booking date and then passed me to wotif to work out the issue. Felt like a piggy in the middle and was left with four children in Sydney with no accomodation and having to pay for more accommodation at another place. Crowne is refunding my money, however I haven’t received a confirmation email as yet. Trainee kept me on the phone forever . Without speaking , escalating my anxiety. Crown had two rooms available however wouldn’t price match

I travelled with my family and being vegetarian, I was really disappointed with the breakfast served at the hotel. I stayed 4 days and everyday the breakfast menu was same with no consideration for vegetarian food. Whilst hotel staff did give us hash brown, avocado and sautéed mushrooms, overall experience was disappointing. Whilst checkin it took a while for staff to get our check in right and mid stay we were locked out of rooms, stating I need to provide credit card details again. Must say restaurant staff were very courteous and that was one positive experience.
