I booked three different room categories at Orange Resort for December 10 – December 12. The photos for the room categories shown are not what I received. For example, the Superior Bungalow – Garden View shown the bathroom has double glass sliding door for the bathtub, I received a room # 71 with just a shower with half of the door was missing and the hinges are sticking out, which could be hazardous (see photos). When I complained to the front desk that room with missing door or in need of repair shouldn’t be given to guest, Ms. Tan replied that all rooms in the resorts had had half of their glass shower door removed because the owner didn’t want the shower door to be stained with water mist. Really??? If that was the intention of the owner, why the hinges are not removed and walls are patched and why half of the door is left standing? And if that was the truth, why room # 68, which is lower category Deluxe Room – Garden View, in which a member of my party stayed, has a complete glass shower door (see photos). In addition, room # 18, which is higher category Superior Bungalow – Beach front, in which members of my family stayed, has complete double sliding glass shower door (see photos). Please see photos showing the room in desperate need for repairs. Another photo shows the glass shower door was removed from my room and left outside of another close-by room. Even the towels were just rag. the bath mat was a piece of rag torn out from worn out towels.

The resort has 1 staff member that are hardworking and genuinely cares about the customer's experience and comfort. Coincidently she works at the customer service desk. She is amazing and probably added the positive highlights to our experience and getting things that required attention resolved (my mom's room door on the ground floor was broken so you cannot close it unless you locked it or else it would just open). The breakfast buffet was fine. It had variety and was decent. Seeing that this resort was more expensive than where we stayed at previously, we were expecting a little bit more. The beach is probably the best on this stretch. It is absolutely clean, clear and odorless (go south and you'll know what I mean). This was the other highlight to this resort. We spent a lot of time swimming in the beautiful gulf waters. The reason for the lower rating is due to the cleanliness of the resort and rooms. Upon arriving, one of the room already had sand and dirt all over the sheets. When asked to change the sheets, she said she couldn't. We observed the maids sweep rubbish and debris from the room into the grass/fields, including empty water bottles and loose paper. Old mattresses, bedframes, linen and blabkets filled the stairwats. We were few Vietnamese family on the resort so we understood what all the staff were saying and due to their unhappiness, their work reflected it. There is a lot of room to improve this resort.

Rooms were a little dated, some are new and some are from the 80's but still nice. Excellent location right on the beach. Staff were amazing, willing to help with any issue or request. Very family friendly with amazing buffet breakfast every morning! Only downfall was restaurant did not really offer much for dinner service, but didn't really matter as just up the road was a local family owned and run restaurant serving the most amazing fresh seafood and local food. Overall I would recommend this resort to anyone going to this island.
