Sel de Mer Hotel & Suites

The highlight of this hotel were the wonderful staff. Across the board they were all friendly, professional and helpful. Our junior suite room was wonderful with a perfect view of the ocean with large opening doors.

Do NOT stay here if: 1. You have your family with you and you don't want to see the hotel's employees ushering prostitutes in at any time of day but especially night. Prostitutes show up at the reception area and they are escorted to different floors by hotel's bellboys. 2. You don't want to be insulted by hotel's employees. My wife and I had our niece come to have breakfast with us at the hotel a couple of days, breakfast we paid extra in cash every morning. One morning we were stopped in the lobby by one of the hotel's employees, asking who she was and asking to make a copy of her passport - all that while prostitutes were taken upstairs by the same employees. We have never been so insulted by a hotel in our entire lives. The hotel itself is decent but certainly not a 5-star: clean, average sized rooms, better beds than other hotels, decent breakfast, right across the street from the beach on a main street (at 21st floor we could still hear street noise). But any business is as good as its employees: and Sel de Mer has some good, hard working people (breakfast especially) but it also have some rude, uneducated people, completely clueless to how they should treat their guests. A few rotten apples turning guests like us into "never again".

Very nice and awesome place to stay. Our family were so welcomed by the hotel and enjoyed for thier staff members. Highly recommended.

The junior suite was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay here.

They upgraded us to the junior suite for free... The view was simply breathtaking.. my entire holiday we as 5 weeks long & I visited about 6 cities... This was my favourite hotel by far... Hands down my favourite

We stayed at the junior suite and had the room was not only spacious but immaculate in condition. The staff there were wonderful and we felt pampered. We will definitely go back.
