Best Western Dodgeville Inn & Suites

The service we received was top notch. My husband and I stayed with our large dog for a weekend visiting with family. The staff were super helpful and kind. They even let us stay in the pool after close to spend time with family we don’t get to see often. Would absolutely stay again!

We stayed here because it was closet to the wedding we were attending with out there with our three children. We arrived Friday and went straight to bed. Saturday, other than a few hours in the morning, we were gone all day. Got back took the kids swimming and then again went to bed. Then 10:30 at night while my two littlest are sleeping and were just watching tv, a knock at the door. It was the guy from the front desk saying he had been smelling us smoking in our room all day! I mentioned how we hadn’t been there all day and the couple hours we were we were in the pool. And then he proceeds to tell us we’re lying and that he’s calling the cops and is charging us the smoking fee. I also pointed out to him that our children were sleeping while my oldest was watching her phone and again called a liar. So my husband went out to his truck where the guy at the front desk proceeds to glare at him and tell him to stay out there until the cops got there. I’m not sure who was smoking but we got blamed for it even after not being there 90% of the time. I’m furious and I’ll never stay here again or another best western ever again because of this. We never received an apology and he had us up waiting for cops that never showed up. So that’s my story and I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Bc being falsely accused of something after he could clearly see our room had no evidence of smoking in it, is where I’ll draw the line, especially for a $250 fee

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room upon entry had a stale cigarette/musty smell. The carpet turned our feet black if we walked barefoot. Bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned. The pool was not clean but the kids had fun regardless. Continental breakfast was great. Wouldn’t recommend staying here for more than one night.

Early on, we noticed that we could hear every word the woman in the next room was saying on her cell phone. Then a family with at least three very loud children moved into the room next to ours and one across the hall. The soundproofing between rooms is thoroughly non-existent.
