Olympic View Inn

Nice area, close to stores and laundromat. The room was a suite and great for our family trip.

I was going to give it stay a five star review without a doubt, had it not been for the racist abuse. I'm with South Asian, and stayed for a night at the Olympic View Inn for a night with my family (2 rooms, 5 people). We had a smooth check-in, and it was a positively nice experience with Daniel and his dog Hugo. The stay was great too - clean and perfect rooms. We always make it a point to generously tip service staff wherever we stay. This time, we had an elderly family member who had difficulty getting around, so I didn't think about the tip until we got done helping him into the car. But as soon as I did, my SIL went back into the room to leave a $20 for both rooms (we wanted to leave more as we were 5 people, usually were just two). But she walked into the staff exclaiming "STINGY F*ING PIGS!!" while clearing out the used towels. She was obviously shocked. The staff member (a Caucasian woman) did not realize she was there. As a decent person, my SIL still left the tip and we did not have a confrontation or anything as we didn't want to stoop to their level. I know there are stereotypes about brown people, but thia was my first run in with out right racism. She didn't even wait till we had left from th parking lot before spouting the vitriol. It's really sad that people think lowly of other people in the basis of such outdated biases. Do better, please.

Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at the Olympic View Inn, and we were impressed with the outstanding service and insightful guidance provided by the hotel staff.

We were disappointed. We were given a room which we had not reserved, with no mention that it was not the junior suite which we had reserved. When I saw that the room was wrong, the staff could not rectify the situation but instead offered a foldaway bed, no mention of refunding the extra cost I had originally made. I did receive a $15 refund, after asking for some recompensation. Also, the bathroom had no clothing/towel hooks, a minor yet irritating inconvenience.

After a long day, I checked in but the front desk told me that the junior suite I had already paid for is not available, due to some “mess up” on the part of the staff and that the room was given to someone else. He gave me an automatic downgrade from a king and full bed to two full beds and a roller bed. When I asked for a room without roller bed he very much resisted against the idea, stating that there is room for all 3 of us to sleep so we shouldn’t complain. The roller bed as expected was very uncomfortable. Furthermore, he refused to give credit back for the downgrade. I feel cheated.

Your staff was very friendly and made us feel like family as soon as we walked in.

Very quiet, was able to check in early, clean room, comfy bed with lots of fluffy pillows. I slept like a baby!

Stayed with my two young kids and the room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Appreciated the extra towels and use of mini fridge and microwave in the room as well.
