Great view from our lake front room, and excellent pool and hot tub area. Great fun for little kiddos! Our bathroom could’ve been cleaned better by housekeeping

Independent, family-owned. The owner and his wife hosted an “event” at the hotel for eclipse ‘24. Free live music and gifts for all guests! Free breakfast in the mornings was nice too. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

We had a very nice time. Location was great for everything we wanted to do. 2 Restraunts next door.The view of the lake was wonderful! Pool and hot tub very nice with a great view. Staff was very nice. There was some traffic off on the main road but that was to be expected. My kids were delighted to come into the room on our second day to see the beds were made and their little stuffies were tucked in and all our towels were replaced with fresh ones. They couldn't believe we actually had maids! Not something you find very often now days!

We had requested a connecting room, and Peggy was super helpful each time we talked on the phone and was able to give us a complimentary upgrade to a room that would connect. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable, I did tell the lady in the morning that the shower was not draining well when we left. Breakfast was my main eh, not so satisfying. The waffles tasted good but we don't like the fake maple syrup, or the eggs that are not real eggs, I almost wish when hotels say hot breakfast they either do it legit, not microwave or powedered egg style, or just do danish/muffin/waffle continental style breakfast so the guest expects just carbs and easy things to grab and go. The lady attending breakfast was kind, but everytime I walked away from my kids to get them something they asked for, she went over to them and would cut their food or something which I'm sorry I don't appreciate because I don't know what else people touch while cleaning or how often they wash their hands. I know she was just trying to be helpful, but at one point while tidying up my kids area she sweeped crumbs into her hand from off the public table and then shook them off into my daughters plate. :/ Not okay, I didn't even want my kid to eat it after that, but she was screaming b/c it was the last bisquit available and fought me to not throw it away, so I broke off most of it to throw away close to where the crumbs went, but in all honesty, I'd rather employees leave my kids alone.

This was the perfect hotel to stay at while visiting family. We had a beautiful view of the lake, the service was outstanding, and even the included breakfast was more than decent.

Beautiful river view. Light walkway is within 5 munites walking distance. Our grandchildren enjoyed the stay very much.

Mrs. Peggy at the front desk was exceptional with the kids. We had a full basketball team and family staying there for 2 nights.

I wanted to give this a 5. Front desk staff - exceptional and truly kind/caring. However during our 3 night stay didn’t receive room cleaning once. Location very close to main street (3 min walk) and lakeside park (5 min walk). Wonderful views. Hot breakfast better than expected! Free upgrade to lake view. Room cleaning thing was odd. We called after two days of no service -cleaning lady came to room, we cleared out for an hour to give her space/time to clean, upon return nothing had been done. It was so strange. When we left she was in the room. We called front desk. They kindly sent two ladies who tried to solve what had happened and were very helpful. The first lady told them she couldn’t tell what was garbage and what wasn’t. So she just left. Were there empty and half empty water bottles on the nightstand? Yes. But why would that have stopped her from picking up the wet towels (we had placed them in one spot for her), giving us fresh towels/toiletries, emptying the garbage or making the beds? It was abt 6 pm by then - the 2 ladies who came to correct the situation offered to do the room, but we had already cleared out of the way for the first “cleaning” and my kid was in the tub so we just opted for fresh towels and called it a day. Just very bizarre of the first cleaning lady to walk out w/o doing anything bc of some water bottles and coke cans on bedside table. Other than that it’s a gem of a hotel and everyone else there was beyond kind. Hot tub needs deep scrubbing

Great family fun getaway! We came last year and this was our second year back because we loved it so much. Peggy (manager) is the sweetest lady and the lady who runs the breakfast is also the sweetest. Housekeeping was also friendly! They have a lot of good things coming to the hotel in the future and currently being renovated! We can’t wait to come back see what the hotel looks like during our next trip! We had a great room with a view of the lake. We used the pool and hot tub, totally recommend!

We absolutely loved the hotel and all of the amenities that came along with it. The only complaint I have is the absolutely awful breakfast attendant. She was very rude towards me and my family. She was shaming me for giving my child cereal and a muffin, saying it was so sugary and how it’s not good for children to have that much sugar. It really was not her place to say anything like that to my family. Other than that we had a very pleasant stay at this hotel!
