La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Kingwood Houston IAH Airpt

We had two rooms room 120 and room 135. In room 135 we were unable to watch TV because there is a parental PIN required. I reached out to the front desk, six different times between 6 PM and 11 PM, front desk person stated he didn’t know the code and had been emailing his supervisors but he never received a response. It kind of ruined our evening because we wanted to have a movie night and we couldn’t so basically the kids had to go to bed early and we couldn’t hang out to watch TV. At about 12:30am, I went to the lobby to ask if they ever received a response about the PIN and get some drinks but there was no one at the front desk, I took three drinks. Upon checking out, there was a different front desk person (a female), which I explained the situation with the TV and how I was not satisfied but she said she was”unaware of this issue” and that she was “sorry but thank you for reporting the issue”. I told the Front desk personnel I needed to pay for the drinks, she stayed “don’t worry about it, for all the inconvenience”. The personnel that I did come in contact with were all very courteous (I truly believe the evening front desk personnel was trying to get the pin for me and unfortunately he was just unable to, What made me more upset was that they never tried to contact me in either of the two rooms or on my cell let me know that they would not be able to get PIN and the lack of communication between staff. The hotel/rooms were very clean and Breakfast was delicious!

Value was well worth the stay. Close to our event. Only things was the pool area was too slippery and dangerous for kids to be even walking around it. Tile.

They ended up kicking us out because our kids were to loud.

We were put in a room that “wasn’t guest ready” and the toilet wasnt even bolted down then moved to a room with no blanket and it took a full day to get a blanket (after a nights stay). Was not told to request rooms service then was told to collect and take out our own trash. Was handed a broom and dust pan at breakfast for accidentally stepping on a frootloop that some kid dropped on the ground. The indoor pool was ice cold! Not a safe temperature to let a child swim in. The only bright side was the lady checking us in and the lady checking us out was nice. All the other staff we ran into was rude and/or dismissive.

Terrible housekeeping! Booked 3 days and she didn't touch the room after day 1. On day 2 we requested a room clean. All she did was change the two trash cans and leave some towels on the bathroom counter. Didn't replace the dirty cups, the TP, the coffee/sugar, or make the beds. The pull-down curtain covering the window did a mediocre job and it felt like daylight all night because of the lit up parking lot. (Other side of hotel was nice and dark) The cable TV was a nightmare. If you could get it to work it only had a handful of channels, and nothing for kids. Front desk offered no physical help. The breakfast was mid since the eggs were too watery. Coffee is some of the best hotel coffee I've had, but I had to warm it in the microwave if I didn't catch them make it fresh. Which means all the way back to the room on the 2nd floor. Pool and hot tub worked and had no complaints there. We had constant problems with the room keys not working. Wouldn't recommend for more than a night.
