Front desk guy was very nice. We got to our room and the door was open. Front desk guy was helpful but couldn’t get it to lock or for the key to work. No other rooms available for our family. It was 11p so we were going to just rely on us locking it from the inside and not leave our belongings. BUT then we went to put our things in the bedroom area we saw black colored mold on the ceiling and the room air was humid, smelly, and everything just felt damp. We went back to the desk and the guy helping us was off for the night. Gal taking over was nice too but I left unsure if she understood the situation and would not charge us. It’s been two days and I am still waiting to be contacted…

Booked room for my family to stay from 6/17-6/20 to avoid the floods and power outages in Houston TX that were projected. I book on hotels.com a king suite with full kitchen to save some money as I have kids and food is not cheap to eat out all the time. I paid thru the Wyndham link that they texted to me to supposedly save time at check in. There was to be a small fee held to ensure the card was valid or whatever. That was fine. I checked my account they charged the full rate plus the deposit. I say okay cool it’s fine at least I won’t be at the desk long to check in. I get there and see containers in the lot and am immediately dissatisfied. I go in and the front desk gentleman was very welcoming but was under the impression I knew what was going on. Prior to driving to the location I called to ensure the room was available as lots of people were booking rooms to avoid the weather. A lady confirmed all was well. I check in and upon getting to my room there was no full kitchen. I go back and he tells me it was not available due to renovations. NO one called me nor advised the day before in which I spoke with the same person and she did not advise the room type was not going to be available. I was promised 15k Wyndham Rewards points and I did not get them. I got 250 and two old nasty outdated rooms. One with a busted pipe and wet living room and peeling nasty tub and then swopped to one with silverfish in the bed and staples in the ceiling. I do not recommend this property

Came down for one night with my son to visit TAMU. Booked here because of location, suite style and pet friendly. We have a small dog. No where on the website did it say there was a pet charge. Yet I was charged $30+tax. Location is great and all the staff was extremely nice. The hotel is just run down. The suite room… couch was so disgusting and worn my kids refused to even sit on it. The coffee maker didn’t work, fridge looked beat up. I don’t think my sheets were fresh because they were extremely wrinkled. Bathtub was extremely worn. Patches in ceiling etc… wasn’t awful but wasn’t great. The main concern I had was our room was last one on the hall right next to an exit door to the outside. I took my pup out to potty and noticed the door doesn’t lock! I tried multiple times to close to lock and it doesn’t. It just pushes open. I called the front desk and let them know. I felt extremely unsafe ALL NIGHT LONG. They were supposed to send someone to fix it but it was never fixed. Pretty sure it’s broken. Extreme safety issues. Breakfast was decent with eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles etc. Only way I would stay here again is if the price was too good to pass up and I was on a hall with a locking door to the outside.

Once we walked in the room we noticed someone's eyelashes stuck on a pillow in the living room area also, the shower was clogged up due to a piece of bar soap which I tried to unclogg myself which I shouldn't had too and last but not least the lights went off Sunday morning around 12:35 am, I had my two kids with me and they were sweating after awhile because there were no a/c to keep them Kool through the night it took about over an hour for the lights to come back on but the room was very hot.

Great staff, all shifts during our stay. It was a very busy weekend with families in town for graduation. Guests were requesting late checkouts/early check-ins and the staff did their best to accommodate everyone always with a smile. They were all so friendly. We were very pleased with our rooms and accommodations during our short stay/

Such a great experience! The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and made me feel super welcomed to the hotel. My room was super clean, quiet, comfortable and conveniently close to everything. Breakfast in the morning was excellent and the staff were super catering to my needs. Brought me out a cup of fresh coffee as soon as it was brewed. Will definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends and family. Great job Hawthorn Suites!
