Hampton Inn Clarion

The checkin was quick and easy. The room was nice and the beds comfortable. The grandkids did some swimming and the breakfast was really good with a nice selection. If we are in need of a room in Clarion again will definitely stay here again.

They sold us an unusuable room. Floors 3 and 2 were under renovation and the paint thinner smell was strong. When asked to change rooms to the first floor, the staff said there were none (we arrived late). When asked why this information had not been communicated, they said that the owner had just decided to start the renovation (refinishinig of bathtubs). Because it was booked by Expedia, the front desk said they could not cancel the room, referred me to Expedia. I left the property to talk to Expedia. Expedia talked to the front desk who claimed there was nothing wrong with the room. I walked the front desk person back to the room, with Expedia on the line, and he had a hard time keeping a straight face but maintained that the air was normal. Since this was done over the phone and odor cannot be communicated, there was nothing I could do. I travelled with my two daughters and I did not feel it was safe to stay overnight in room full of paint fumes. Expedia offered me a $25 coupon to stay in the paint-fume room. It was late, but with the kids, I felt it was not safe to stay so we left.

We were on a trip to see our kids for the holidays, with plans of driving through the night. Weather in PA had other plans so we decided to stop. Hampton inn was closest to the highway, and it was a fantastic stay. Nothing was open for food, being it was Christmas Day, but they had options in the lobby. Staff was courteous and the room was great! Elevator broke in the morning, but I could use a trip or two down some stairs, so I didn’t mind. Overall I think this will be our new halfway point break on our trips

In town for a few days visiting family. Friendly staff, nice buffet breakfast, clean spacious room. Loved they had coffee available all day for free

We stay at this hotel at least 4 times a year while traveling to visit family. It is always spotless and crisp, but with no nasty industrial cleaner smell. The front desk staff are friendly and welcoming. The hotel is conveniently located next to a gas stations, fast food, an Applebee’s, and a Wal-Mart. The hospital is across the street, but there is no noise from sirens. There is plenty of parking. A ten-minute drive gets you to a lovely downtown with cute shops, Victorian houses, casual local restaurants, a CVS, and a Dunkin. Be sure to try the Clarion River Brewing Company for delicious locally sourced food and a wide variety of IPAs in a family-friendly environment.
